Taking Alpha's Twins Away After Divorce-Alpha 5

Listen to this chapter:

A servant informed me that Luna Grace Miller was approaching. She appeared to be in the garden. Alpha Lucas and I waited in the sitting room. A short while later, Luna Grace entered, the epitome of elegance and battle prowess.

Initially, she was unhappy with me as Adrian's mate, a woman without a wolf. She had been cool toward me, and expressing her disapproval felt like a legal obligation—I hated uttering the words that followed: "I want to leave the pack."

Shock flashed across Luna's face before she composed herself. "What happened, Natalia?" she asked with concern.

Before I could answer, Alpha Miller interjected, "I promise he will apologize to you today. Don't do anything rash."

They didn't seem to understand that Adrian never wanted to be with me. He had even raised the subject of our divorce with them multiple times.

Luna Grace nodded in agreement with her husband.

I smiled bitterly. "I've always listened to you both. This is the first time I've asked for something. Let me leave, please. It's better for me."

I wished I could tell them about my babies—as their future grandparents, they had a right to know. But I couldn't. Their son didn't want children with me, so I couldn't risk it.

To conceal my emotions, I took a deep breath.

Luna Grace shifted her gaze to Alpha Lucas.

He shook his head, then turned to me. "What about your family?" he asked, referring to my foster father, his Gamma. "You should—"

I shook my head, terrified of him contacting my father. He would never let me leave the pack. But I needed to leave and raise my children elsewhere.

"I'll start a new life outside," I replied.

"Like a rogue?" Alpha asked, his tone serious and concerned.

I nodded. I knew rogues belonged to no pack, but I had no one here, and I had to protect my babies. What choice did I have?

Alpha Lucas shook his head again, deep lines etching his brow. "Please reconsider, Natalia."

My mind flashed back to Adrian signing the divorce papers. If he wouldn't reconsider, why should I?

"I'm sorry, Alpha. I've made up my mind."

The lines on his face deepened, and he sighed in resignation. He had done everything to make his son see I was his best choice, and I appreciated his efforts. But Adrian had been stubborn, and this was the result.

As Alpha Lucas reluctantly agreed to my request, his eyes welled up. Just then, Adrian entered the room.

"Natalia!" he growled.

All eyes turned to him as he approached, grabbed my wrist, and pulled me close. My body pressed against his chest, the pleasant scent of his cologne filling the air.

But his expression was far from pleasant. "You're provoking my parents against me now?" he sneered accusingly.
