Natalia’s POV
As the days passed, I adapted to my surroundings in the Crystal Blood Pack. I visited Uncle Lucas daily, as promised, caring for him like a daughter. Auntie Grace clearly valued me greatly. She said… (The sentence was incomplete; context is needed here.)
I couldn't be honest with her about discovering my true family—a true blessing.
It was the end of the week. Tomorrow, Uncle Lucas needed the cure to heal his wolf. Since Harold was checking on him, we all went to the hospital.
"I'm surprised his health is improving so much," Harold said to Auntie Grace.
Turning to me, Auntie Grace told Harold, "She took care of Lucas. She always changed his medication and ensured he ate well. Because of her, Lucas was happy all week."
I smiled briefly and lowered my head. In the distance, Harold glanced at Adrian, who stood apart. While his mother spoke of me, his eyes were fixed on me.
I ignored him. In fact, after leaving the pack house, we hadn't seen each other all week, which suited me fine.
"Natalia, it's all up to you. Are you sure you can give us the cure?" Harold asked.
I nodded. "Yes. You'll get it tomorrow morning."
"Thank you, my child," Uncle Lucas said.
I turned, my gaze falling on Adrian. He looked at me doubtfully, perhaps curious about my methods. But I had my own.
After spending time with Adrian's parents, I left the pack hospital. It was night when I reached my hotel. I went straight to my room and called my brother.
"Where are you?" Jason asked.
I frowned. "Brother, you know I'm in the Crystal Blood Pack."
"I mean, where in the Crystal Blood Pack are you?"
I assumed he wanted to send men to collect the cure.
My brother was highly intelligent. Months ago, he'd formed an alliance with the Blood Moon Pack. The head Alpha offered Jason a gift. Jason refused, but the Alpha asked what Jason needed in return. Jason then asked if I wanted anything. Knowing Doctor Max Harrison, my mentor, I had access to much medical information.
Jason wasn't knowledgeable about medicine, but he requested something from the Blood Moon Alpha. Initially, the Alpha consulted Doctor Max, but soon presented us with the cure as a gift.
It had been mine ever since. I'd never needed it, but I'd studied Doctor Max's methods and investigated the process, benefiting my medical knowledge.
"I'm at the Black Sparkle Hotel," I replied, finally understanding his question.
He said, "Okay, I'm on my way," and hung up.
My eyes widened. He was coming here? I'd told him to send someone! Why was he coming?
I rushed to the lobby and called my driver, asking if Jason had contacted him. He was astonished.
"Miss, what are you saying? The Alpha is coming here?"
I realized Jason hadn't told him, assuming he'd tell me.
Waiting for my brother, I sat on the couch. The thought of him encountering Adrian and losing his temper worried me. Even as head Alpha of our pack, Jason couldn't attack Adrian in his pack. Attacking an Alpha on their own territory was forbidden.
An hour passed. I still waited, trying to call Jason, but couldn't connect. I focused on the hotel's glass entrance, anxiously chewing my nails. Then, I saw a bright blue car—Jason's car. I sprang up and rushed outside.
The driver opened the back door. Jason emerged—the head Alpha, with his powerful aura. Others glanced at him. Ignoring them, I went to him.
He smiled broadly at the sight of me. I grinned and hugged him.
"Brother, I missed you."
He kissed my head. "I missed you too, my little baby."
I pulled away, chuckling. "Stop spoiling me and tell me why you came. I told you to send someone."
