Chapter 107: Expelling Two Children

Aubree's offer to donate to the kindergarten was immediately accepted by the teacher, who then contacted the head of the kindergarten. After a brief conversation, the teacher brought Aubree to the head's office. He had been expecting her and promptly offered her tea.

"Please take a seat, Ms. Pearson," he said with a warm smile.

Aubree accepted the tea and sat down. "I assume you know why I'm here."

The head of the kindergarten nodded. "I understand you wish to donate equipment. Thank you on behalf of the children."

He paused, noticing Aubree's serious expression. She sipped her tea, her face impassive. "That's not all. I'm willing to donate five million in exchange for a simple favor."

The head of the kindergarten looked confused. "And that is?"

"Roxanne Jarvis' children are enrolled here. I want them expelled," Aubree said, her eyes narrowing.

The head and the teacher exchanged confused glances. Lucian had mentioned this before, then quickly retracted it. Now Aubree was raising the issue again.

"Ms. Pearson, might I ask what happened between you and Ms. Jarvis?" the head asked cautiously.

Aubree glared. "That's not relevant. I simply don't want her children and the Farwell children attending the same school. You're aware of the arranged marriage between the Pearson and Farwell families, I presume?"

The head nodded vigorously. "Yes, I am."

"I have personal issues with Roxanne. I'll soon be Estella's mother, and I won't tolerate her son bullying my daughter. You'll be responsible if that happens," Aubree warned.

The mention of the Farwells reminded the head of Lucian's previous instruction not to expel the children. Did that mean he wanted them to remain? But now the future Mrs. Farwell was making this request

Aubree, noticing his hesitation, set down her teacup with a sharp clink. The head's heart pounded; he knew her influence.

"The Farwells have invested heavily in this kindergarten," Aubree said, pressing her advantage. "Think about what a few words from me could do to your future. You won't have their investments to rely on."

The head broke into a cold sweat. Aubree's repeated references to Lucian left him with little choice. After a long pause, he relented. "I understand. I will expel them."

Aubree smiled. "I expect confirmation by tonight. The five million will be transferred immediately."

The head nodded frantically.

"Our business is concluded," Aubree said, rising. The head and teacher saw her to the gate.

Before leaving, Aubree turned back. "Keep today's events confidential. I don't want Roxanne retaliating."

She was actually worried about Lucian's disapproval, but she didn't want to arouse the head's suspicion.

The head nodded in agreement.
