Listen to this chapter:

In the middle of the night, Lucian tiptoed into Estella's room in the Farwell residence and tucked her in. He watched the little girl sleep soundly for a while before leaving.

As he exited, Cayden approached. "Mr. Farwell," he reported, "I checked the restaurant. The surveillance cameras were broken."

Lucian frowned. "So coincidentally? My suspicions were aroused the moment the cameras malfunctioned."

Cayden replied hesitantly, "It could be a coincidence. We haven't heard from Mrs. Farwellโ€”Ms. Jarvisโ€”since she left years ago. I doubt she'd reappear."

He noticed Lucian's darkening expression and his heart skipped a beat. He lowered his head, silent.

"I understand," Lucian said ambiguously before returning to his room.

The following morning, after breakfast, Roxanne took her two sons to the premium kindergarten Madilyn recommended. Having finalized her choice the previous night, the highly efficient Roxanne had stayed up late to prepare for enrollment.

As Madilyn had warned, the kindergarten had strict entry requirements. Students came from wealthy, prominent families, and the kindergarten thoroughly vetted parents.

Upon reaching the head's office, Roxanne was asked to provide details of her occupation and net worth, along with supporting documentation. Thanks to Madilyn's earlier reminder, she was prepared.

Though not a CEO or director, Roxanne's medical expertise had earned her considerable wealth over the past few years, exceeding the kindergarten's minimum requirement.

After reviewing the documentation, the head courteously said, "Ms. Jarvis, I'll enroll your children. Please sign here."

Roxanne signed. The head then summoned a teacher and instructed her to take the boys to their classroom.

The boys waved nonchalantly and left with the teacher. Roxanne watched them go, then nodded at the head and departed. Unlike other parents, she had no concerns. She'd been bringing her sons to the research institute for years; they were used to socializing and adapting to new environments. Furthermore, the kindergarten curriculum would be trivial for the two little geniuses. Roxanne worried less about them being bullied and more about them bullying othersโ€”a habit honed at the research institute.

Meanwhile, the boys explored their new classroom. Their teacher gently introduced them: "Everyone, these are our new classmates. Welcome them!"

The other children stared with curiosity. The boys introduced themselves graciously. Their charm captivated the other children, who applauded enthusiastically.

Benny nudged Archie. "Archie, look! That's our paternal sister! She's in our class!"
