Chapter 1133

โ€œIn that caseโ€ฆโ€ Frieda was puzzled. โ€œWhen are we going to use these photos?โ€

Aubreeโ€™s eyes narrowed. โ€œIโ€™m still waiting for the right opportunity. In fact, I called you here today to discuss this matter.โ€

The right opportunity. Frieda knitted her brows, understanding Aubreeโ€™s implication. She believed the photos alone were insufficient; they needed a scenario that left Roxanne defenseless. However, this proved far more challenging than anticipated. Success would be far more likely if they had amicable relations with Roxanne or Jack, but their strained relationships with Roxanne and unfamiliarity with Jack presented a significant obstacle. Frieda, too, was at a loss.

โ€œHave you managed to come up with any ideas?โ€ Aubreeโ€™s impatience grew. Friedaโ€™s previous suggestion had improved Aubreeโ€™s relationship with Estella, leading Aubree to believe Frieda might offer helpful ideas. Unfortunately, prolonged silence was her only response.

Frieda looked troubled. โ€œGiven our relationship with them, it would be difficult to avoid leaving a trace. If you insist, we'll have no choice but to create an accident.โ€ She added, almost as an afterthought, โ€œEspecially one involving Roxanne. Once Jack shows concern, we can make a significant fuss.โ€

Aubree immediately rejected this. โ€œIt wasnโ€™t easy to change Lucianโ€™s impression of me. He would definitely cancel our engagement if he discovered my involvement.โ€

โ€œI failed to consider that,โ€ Frieda admitted, a grim expression on her face.

โ€œDo we have no choice but to wait for them to develop feelings with the passage of time?โ€ Aubree wondered aloud.

Friedaโ€™s eyes lit up. โ€œNot necessarily!โ€

Aubree looked baffled.

โ€œWe canโ€™t create an accident, but we can increase the time they spend together. Sooner or later, it wonโ€™t be surprising if they become a couple, will it?โ€ Frieda explained. In essence, their plan was discreet matchmaking. Even if Lucian discovered their actions, it would be easily explained, making it a low-risk endeavor.

Aubree nodded thoughtfully. โ€œI would have felt so lost without you. Frieda, donโ€™t you worry. After all youโ€™ve done for me, I'll definitely make it worth your while once I become Mrs. Farwell.โ€

Frieda forced a smile. โ€œThatโ€™s the least I can do for my best friend!โ€

With a plan in place, Aubreeโ€™s mind wandered as they continued shopping. As dusk approached, Frieda checked the time. โ€œArenโ€™t you supposed to pick Essie up from school? Youโ€™ll be late if you donโ€™t leave now.โ€ She assumed Aubree had lost track of time.

However, Aubree replied calmly, โ€œWhatโ€™s the hurry? Even if Iโ€™m late, the teacher will wait with her. She wonโ€™t be lost.โ€

This response again confused Frieda. They were quite close to Essieโ€™s kindergarten; what was Aubree doing?

Aubree offered no explanation. Only after further shopping did she finally drive, nonchalantly, to the kindergarten.
