Chapter 1185
The specialists' expressions turned grim at the news. One reputable doctor rushed to Roxanne's bedside, conducting a thorough examination. He shook his head helplessly afterward.
"What does that mean?" Lucian's voice was icy. Archie and Benny watched intently.
The specialist explained, "Ms. Jarvis shows no signs of regaining consciousness. The finger movement was likely a nerve reflex. She's trying, but needs a final push."
A deathly silence fell over the ward, broken only by Benny's sobs. Lucian frowned, pondering. A final push. Who else mattered to Roxanne that he hadn't considered?
Archie tugged at Lucian's clothes. "Mr. Farwell," he said.
Lucian softened his gaze as he looked down at the boy. Archie suggested sweetly, "Could you let Essie come here and talk to Mommy?"
Lucian's heart clenched. He almost forgot Estella's importance to Roxanne; she was her daughter. Perhaps a telepathic connection existed.
He took Archie's hand. "Stay here with Mommy and keep talking to her. I'll get someone to bring Essie."
Tears streamed down Archie's face, but a smile bloomed. "Mommy will definitely wake up if Essie comes." The boys sensed their mother's longing for Estella.
Lucian nodded calmly. To Cayden, waiting in the corridor, he instructed, "Go to the manor and bring Estella here."
Cayden, initially stunned, quickly understood. Ms. Jarvis had given birth to Ms. Estella; perhaps a miracle could happen. He readily agreed and hurried off.
The trip usually took thirty minutes, but Cayden reached the Farwell residence in twenty. Knowing the door code, he entered the brightly lit mansion. It was past ten o'clock.
Estella sat on the couch, aggrieved, hugging her knees, seemingly wanting to be left alone. Catalina looked exasperated, while Aubree attempted to approach the child with a smileโa scene that had played out all night.
Catalina sighed in relief at Cayden's arrival. "Mr. Lawson, please help us. Ms. Estella refuses to sleep."
Aubree, remembering Cayden's previous interference, remained silent. Estella frowned.
Cayden greeted them politely. Aubree only hummed a cold reply. "Mr. Farwell instructed me to bring Ms. Estella to him," Cayden stated calmly.
Estella's eyes lit up; she loosened her grip on her knees. Aubree's expression changed. "Where's Lucian?"
