“I’ll send you all home,” Lucian said, his gaze tender as it rested on his four loved ones. Their visible happiness was a balm to his soul. The children’s cheers erupted spontaneously at the prospect of returning home.

Roxanne initially hesitated, but the children’s joy and Lucian’s affectionate expression swayed her. She started to reach for the boys, but Lucian scooped them up before she could.

“Wow! You’re so tall!” Benny exclaimed, his face alight with excitement. Archie, equally thrilled, clung quietly to Lucian. Roxanne smiled at their exhilaration, quickening her pace to follow.

Sonya entered the manor to find them gone. “Where’s Lucian?” she asked Catalina, her tone cold. Sonya was displeased by Lucian’s apparent reconciliation with Roxanne and sought to speak with her son.

A sense of relief washed over Catalina as she recalled the rare, happy smiles shared by Lucian and Roxanne before their departure. “Mr. Farwell just left, but I’m afraid I don’t know where he went,” she replied vaguely.

Sonya was not easily dissuaded. Narrowing her eyes, she pressed, “And Roxanne?”

Catalina felt uneasy but answered truthfully, “She went home.”

Sonya’s expression darkened. Roxanne going home this late… He must have taken her home! She rejected him twice, and he still treats her so well! Sonya paused but didn’t turn. “What? Worried I’ll go after Roxanne? It’s late. I don’t care if she’s tired. I am!”

“How can I sleep knowing my son’s walking into a trap?” Sonya exclaimed angrily, then stormed out. This time, Catalina let her go, hoping Sonya would soon see the importance of Lucian and Estella’s happiness.
