Chapter 1335
Frieda imagined Aubree's reaction to the online comments, even though they were only speaking by phone. She said dryly, "You should see this for yourself, Aubree..."
Aubree grimly activated speakerphone and opened her social media app. One comment read: "Aubree is shameless. How dare she claim to be Mr. Farwell's first crush when she's just a homewrecker? If he truly felt something for her, why marry his original spouse?"
Another commenter agreed: "Exactly. Any feelings Mr. Farwell had for his first crush would be gone after six years. He acts like he doesn't even know her. His original spouse is his first crush; Aubree is nothing."
The comments were brutal, leaving no doubt about the netizens' contempt for Aubree. She fought to suppress the urge to throw her phone.
"Roxanne, that bitch!" she hissed.
Frieda tried to calm her. "Calm down, Aubree. Getting angry won't help." She worried Aubree might do something reckless.
Aubree took deep breaths. "Do you know any public relations companies? I'm going to make that bitch pay."
Frieda hesitated. This is just like last time; I'm handing her the knife. Jonathan or Lucian will kill me if they find out.
"Let it go, Aubree. Your family's in no position to hire a PR firm."
Aubree saw through her. "I'll contact them myself. Don't worry, I won't involve you. And I can afford it. I'll expose that bitch's true colors."
Reluctantly, Frieda gave her a number.
Aubree, after getting the contact information, hung up and contacted the PR firm.
"Hello, what kind of collaboration are you seeking?" came the prompt reply.
Aubree said through gritted teeth, "I want you to spread news about the Farwell Group CEO's original spouse."
The scandal was well-known; the PR professional immediately became cautious. "And you are?"
Aubree replied coldly, "Aubree Pearson."
The other party immediately hung up. Aubree redialed, her face darkening. "I'll pay you thirty million to post the news. It's not fake, I promise."
The large sum swayed the other party, but they still hesitated.
"Fifty million! Ten million more afterwardโsixty million total!" Aubree added. She'd saved the fifty million Cory had requested, though not for this purpose.
Finally, tempted by the money, the other party agreed. "Okay. What do you want us to post?"
Aubree's gaze turned icy as she relayed her prepared message.
