Aubree chuckled with delight as public disdain rained down on Roxanne. "Roxanne, you bitch," she hissed, "you'll get a taste of your own medicine."

Early that morning, Sonya furiously scanned online comments. She was enraged to discover Lucian had sent Roxanne to the hospital and even spent the night caring for her. The memory was vivid: Roxanne's recent return, and Lucian's immediate, insistent care.

Sonya raged through the comments, a whirlwind of opinions swirling. Public sentiment was shifting. Her face darkened at a comment praising Lucian and Roxanne's compatibility. "A good match? Since when is she worthy of my son? On what grounds? Certainly not her looks, nor her two illegitimate children. And speaking of which, I still haven't discovered their father."

Just as her fury threatened to explode, public opinion of Roxanne took a sharp downturn, momentarily calming Sonya. But then, a chilling comment: "Roxanne left the Farwells on her own accord. Perhaps she was pregnant and worried about explaining it. Now her children are grown, she's probably back for the Farwells' wealth."

Sonya's face contorted. "Now that I think about it, Archie and Benny seem to be Estella's age. But who knows? She could have lied about their ages. No wonder she left so hastily." The possibility was unbearable. "No matter what, Roxanne is suspicious. I won't let her succeed."

Sonya stowed her phone, left the mansion, and drove directly to Roxanne's house. It was noon when she arrived, but no one was home. Returning to her car, she checked her phone again; the online discussion about Roxanne was even more heated. Rumors and speculation spread like wildfire. Some even suspected Roxanne had known Jack for years. This speculation was tarnishing the Farwells' reputation. Sonya nearly fainted. "I knew it. The Farwells will become a laughingstock if I let her marry into the family. Damn it! This happened too fast. I need to resolve this."

Parking outside Roxanne's gates, Sonya contemplated for a while before an idea struck. "The most important thing is to restore the Farwells' reputation. My son's relationship with Roxanne is the root cause. So, if his fiancée were someone else…"

Sonya made her decision and immediately drove to the Pearson residence. Despite her displeasure with Aubree's treatment of Estella, Aubree was the only one who could remove Roxanne from the picture.
