Chapter 1357

Just as Cayden was about to leave to carry out his orders, Lucianโ€™s voice rang out. โ€œWhere did the compressed folder originate?โ€

Lucianโ€™s gaze remained fixed on the computer screen. The folder's contents were far more detailed than the evidence gathered by Farwell Group's technicians. It even included the personal information of those who posted the most egregious insults. If Farwell Group pursued legal action, each individual would face legal repercussions. Lucian's curiosity intensified, remembering this was the second such incident by the same individual. Whether this anonymous person targeted Aubree or acted to protect Roxanne remained unknown. If the latter, he had to identify them.

Cayden looked conflicted. โ€œThe technician is still investigating.โ€ He mused, this person must be the same one who posted the earlier discussion. Yet, their identity remained a mystery. Farwell Group's technicians were among the nation's best; their department supervisor ranked third among hackers. Still, the anonymous person's identity eluded them. Cayden felt curious yet also nervous for Lucian. Roxanneโ€™s return after six years had attracted many suitors. He wondered about this hacker's relationship with Mrs. Farwell.

Lucian's expression darkened. โ€œFile lawsuits against everyone on the list. And find the anonymous person, no matter the cost.โ€ Even if he didn't care about Roxanne's connection to the anonymous individual, he needed to understand their motives. The person possessed significant hacking skills; leaving them unchecked risked future attacks on Farwell Group.

Cayden responded immediately. โ€œUnderstood. I'll execute your orders at once.โ€ He left swiftly.

That night, Ocean Media declared bankruptcy. Simultaneously, Samuel received a call from Lucian. Believing Sonya had interceded, Samuel answered with anticipation. โ€œWhatโ€™s the matter, Lucian?โ€

Lucianโ€™s voice, laced with anger, served as a warning. โ€œMr. Pearson, control your daughter. Stop her from provoking me. Otherwise, Pearson Group will face far worse consequences.โ€

Samuelโ€™s anticipation vanished. Horrified, he asked, โ€œWhat did Aubree do? Tell me; I'll discipline her.โ€

โ€œYou donโ€™t even know? Your apology seems insincere. Don't blame me if I show you no further mercy.โ€

Panic surged through Samuel. To his dismay, Lucian hung up before he could ask further questions. Remembering Lucian's words, Samuel exploded with rage. Aubree again! Sheโ€™d gone out that morning. What had she done to enrage Lucian?

Samuel stormed upstairs. Aubree sat in her bedroom, her expression grim. After contacting the media company, she'd gone home and gleefully watched the unfolding drama. Little did she know, the tide would turn that night.
