The boys were exhilarated all day after seeing the morning's announcement. When night fell, Roxanne had just entered the house when Archie and Benny excitedly threw themselves at her.

"Mommy!" they cried.

She was slightly perplexed by their gleeful demeanor. "What's going on? Did something nice happen at kindergarten?" She glanced at Estella, puzzled. If something had happened at kindergarten, why wasn't Estella reacting similarly?

Archie, sensing his mother's confusion, said, "Didn't you see the news online?"

This further confounded Roxanne. What online news?

Benny excitedly added, "Mr. Farwell said we're his children, just like Essie!"

Roxanne was stunned. Lucian claimed Archie and Benny were his children? How was that possible? He grabbed the laptop, opened a public forum, and showed her Farwell Group's announcement, still trending at the top of the website. Roxanne clicked on it and read the content. Her eyes widened in shock. Lucian truly had said that!

"Are we really Mr. Farwell's children, Mommy?" Benny asked innocently, feigning ignorance of his background. The thought of calling Lucian "Daddy" thrilled him.

Roxanne looked away. "There's a reason for him to say that." It was an indirect denial.

Disappointment clouded Benny's eyes. "If that's not true, why did he say it?"

Roxanne’s gaze returned to the screen. The announcement and the netizens' comments confirmed her suspicion: Lucian didn't know the boys' true parentage. Otherwise, he would have demanded an explanation from her, which he hadn't. She guessed he was protecting her reputation after seeing negative comments. Still, she was shocked by his willingness to do this for her.

When Benny asked his question, Roxanne felt the urge to reveal the truth. However, the secret had been kept for so long that she hesitated. She didn't know how the boys would react, nor whether Lucian would reprimand her for keeping it hidden.

"Okay then," Benny said sensibly, changing the subject. "Mr. Farwell's saying that because he wants to help you, right?" A wide, innocent smile returned to his face.

Roxanne nodded, a complicated expression on her face. She couldn't bear to disappoint him further with another denial. His smile widened. "Mr. Farwell treats you well, Mommy! It would be so nice if he were our daddy. You should accept his proposal, Mommy!"
