Chapter 1595: What If Archie and Benny Got Lost?
Estella sniffled, blinking back tears before flashing a smile at Archie and Benny, a smile that lit up her eyes. Seeing her happiness, however, left them slightly bitter. They knew Sonya disliked them and might spoil their fun, even if she allowed them to come along. Still, they acquiesced; it was what Estella wanted. They shared a look, then managed a reassuring smile. "All right, let's go together! Stop crying," Archie said.
Estella nodded eagerly. "I'm not crying! I'm happy! The amusement park will be so fun!"
Sonya approached to lead Estella away. This time, Estella didn't shy away, only glancing occasionally at Archie and Benny.
"What are you looking at?" Sonya asked, her gaze downcast.
"Slow down, Grandma! Wait for my brothers!" Estella grumbled.
Sonya's expression hardened, her grip tightening. "Watch your words. They're not your brothers. You have no siblings."
Estella's face fell. "You're lying, Grandma! I want to be with Archie and Benny!" She struggled free and tried to reach them.
Sonya suppressed her disgust, momentarily tolerating Estella's outburst. "Okay, I was wrong. They're your brothers," she said, hugging Estella to prevent her from running off.
Archie and Benny, having overheard, lowered their gazes, disappointed by Sonya's reluctance to acknowledge them as Estella's brothers.
Sonya had the driver take them to the amusement park. She initially had only two tickets, but bought two more for Archie and Benny at the entrance. The children didn't notice the tickets were different.
Sonya and Estella entered the attractions smoothly, but Archie and Benny were stopped by an attendant. "Kids, you need to queue up!"
Confused, Archie and Benny pointed to Sonya. "We're with that grandma."
The attendant checked their tickets, equally perplexed. "They're VIPs. You both have regular tickets and will need to wait in line."
Archie and Benny accepted this and obediently joined the queue.
Later, in the maze, Estella realized her brothers weren't with her. Anxiously, she tugged Sonya's hand. "Grandma, where are Archie and Benny?"
"They're probably outside. Maybe they didn't like this attraction and went to another. The park is very safe; they won't go missing," Sonya replied calmly. Her eyes then drifted to the long queue outside. It's peak season, and the line is incredibly long. I hope those two take their time! she thought.
Just as she led Estella inside, Estella wriggled free and ran. "I'm going to find Archie and Benny!"
Sonya caught her and held her tight. "They'll look for you soon. Be a good girl, and you'll have so much fun."
Estella searched the crowd, unable to find the boys. Tears welled in her eyes. "I want to be with Archie and Benny..." she whispered, her voice laced with anxiety. What if Archie and Benny got lost? Daddy and Mommy will be so worried!
