Aubree returned to the Pearson residence with her parents, their faces grim. Upon entering, she kicked off her heels. Gina tried to comfort her, but Aubree, sullen, strode upstairs and slammed her door.

"She's really mad," Gina muttered.

Upstairs, Aubree clenched her fists, trembling with rage. The voices from the dinner party echoed in her ears. Her arrogance had been fueled by the impending marriage to Mr. Farwell, but the evening had been a disaster. The Pearsonsโ€™ social standing depended on the Farwells; this would have severe repercussions. All her waiting had been for nothing.

Lucian's departure with Roxanne had changed everything. The formerly polite guests now mocked and disdained Aubree, gossiping openly. Within minutes, she'd gone from Horington's most envied woman to its laughingstock.

Resentment boiled over. She'd intended to assert her status over Roxanne, but Lucian had humiliated her. Horington's high society would surely spread rumors of a broken engagement. Her efforts were ruined, all because of Roxanne.

Enraged, she swept across her table, sending everything crashing to the floor. "It's all that bitch's fault!" she screamed. "I won't let her get away with this!"

Downstairs, Gina and Samuel heard the commotion.

"It's too much!" Gina exclaimed. "What did Lucian mean by leaving Aubree like that? What will people think of us?"

Samuel's face reddened. "He clearly doesn't care about us!"

Meanwhile, Roxanne, unaware of the family drama, was asleep. After the dinner party, she'd felt tired from the alcohol and her interaction with Lucian, and went to bed early after playing with the children.

Estella woke Roxanne early. After helping Estella wash, Roxanne went downstairs where Catalina had already prepared breakfast. Archie and Benny were already seated.

Seeing Roxanne with Estella, the boys asked, "Mommy, do you have a headache?"

Roxanne smiled. "Thanks to you boys bringing me pills last night, my head doesn't hurt at all."

Relieved, the boys smiled. Roxanne ate breakfast with her children.

The doorbell rang. Roxanne frowned. "It's so early. What could it be?"

Lucian stood at the door, several bodyguards behind him, each carrying a large box.
