Chapter 1791: Likes Your Daughter

The obese man, publicly humiliated, dared not confront Lucian, instead berating the keeper. “How did you train these dolphins? My son almost got hit! You’re responsible!”

The keeper’s eyes blazed. The urge to retaliate, mirroring Lucian’s earlier action, surged, but he controlled himself; the dolphins’ safety, and the many visitors, demanded it. He’d encountered unreasonable people before.

“Sir,” he declared sternly, “I instructed your son to follow my directions. He ignored them, endangering a baby dolphin. These are wild animals; they won’t tolerate mistreatment.”

The two adult dolphins behind him waded ashore, approaching the plump man as if understanding his words. He was overweight, but not two hundred pounds; two adult dolphins could easily move him.

Father and son blanched. The audience enjoyed their reaction.

“S-Stop them! What do they want?” the man pleaded.

Ignoring him, the keeper watched impassively as the dolphins neared. The man’s bravado vanished, replaced by panic, his screams echoing. His son’s face was pale; he’d discovered dolphins weren’t always adorable.

Once the desired effect was achieved, the keeper commanded the dolphins, who returned to their baby. The triplets giggled, exchanging glances.

“The adult dolphins protected their baby!” Estella looked at her parents, seeking confirmation. Lucian and Roxanne nodded, smiling broadly.

“The baby dolphin must be scared. I want to see it,” Estella said, releasing Roxanne and heading towards the keeper.

“Essie, no! Their parents are still upset,” Archie warned.

Lucian followed. The keeper cautioned Estella. “Little girl, don’t come closer. The adults are protective now; they’ll be hostile to anyone but me.”

Lucian stopped Estella. “Essie, listen to the keeper.”

Estella obeyed, waving from a distance. “Baby dolphin, are you okay? Don’t be scared. I’ll visit again, and we can perform together!”

The audience was charmed. Surprisingly, the baby dolphin left its parents and approached Estella, as if understanding. It extended its neck for a stroke.

Estella giggled, patting its head. The baby dolphin responded with a delighted sound. It was a heartwarming scene; many recorded it. Even Roxanne captured the moment.

The keeper’s initial worry gave way to awe and pride. “The baby dolphin adores your daughter!”

Lucian nodded curtly, his brow furrowed; he worried the adults might misinterpret Estella’s presence. Fortunately, they didn’t. They watched from a distance, seemingly understanding their baby’s intentions.
