Chapter 1790: Who Do You Think You Are?
โArchie!โ Estella quickly ran to Lucian. Lucian enveloped her in his arms, fearing the baby dolphinโs parents would attack. Benny swiftly positioned himself behind Estella, staying close to Lucian. He asked, โArchie, are you all right?โ
Archie nodded, his gaze fixed on the overweight child. The keeperโs reprimand effectively deterred the adult dolphins. Otherwise, the child could have been seriously injured.
The overweight child had intended to yell at Archie, but the dolphinsโ presence froze him with fear. โDaddy! Daddy!โ he screamed. The keeper calmly soothed the agitated dolphins, preventing further escalation. The baby dolphin, oblivious, hid behind its parents.
The overweight man, realizing his sonโs near-accident, struggled to react. His bulk hampered his attempts to reach the pool. โWhat is going on? How could the dolphins try to hurt a kid?โ he yelled at the keeper. He glared at Archie, still in Lucianโs embrace. โWhat do you think youโre doing, barreling into my child like that? Do you have a death wish?โ
Lucian rose, defensively positioning himself before the children, his hostile aura unrestrained. Roxanneโs expression hardened as she descended the stairs.
โFatty, thatโs utter nonsense! Your son nearly killed the baby dolphin! He was the one who broke the rules!โ
โYeah, that boy was protecting the dolphin. Everyone saw it! Your son was incredibly rude.โ
โLike father, like son. Stop embarrassing yourselves.โ
The audience, witnessing the overweight manโs aggression, was outraged. The man and son paled under the accusatory gazes.
Lucian strode to the man and slapped him. โWho are you to yell at my children?โ
Roxanne gathered the children, standing protectively behind Lucian. The manโs cheek swelled, but he hesitated to retaliate, intimidated by Lucianโs icy gaze. He felt a chilling sense of vulnerability.
His son, however, yelled, โWhy did you slap my daddy? Iโll call the police!โ The man quickly restrained him.
Roxanne, worried Lucian might overreact, hurried to him, taking his hand. โThis isnโt the time,โ she said softly.
Lucian turned, his expression softening. He nodded slightly. โI understand.โ He then concernedly asked the children, โAre you all right?โ
The children nodded in unison. โDaddy, weโre fine!โ
