Chapter 1833: Full of Love
Over the weekend, Roxanne and Lucian took their three children to the orphanage. The children kept the amount of money they'd raised a secret, and though Roxanne and Lucian were curious, they patiently waited for the children to reveal it.
First, they visited a supermarket and purchased numerous toys, snacks, and books. A medium-sized truck delivered these directly to the orphanage. Madilyn and Jonathan were already there, waiting. Madilyn wore a beautiful dress, while Jonathan, for once, opted for casual attire. They had already formulated plans: Madilyn had arranged for a medical team to provide checkups, and Jonathan had secured free furniture and necessities from sponsors overnight. They had also spoken with the orphanage director and awaited Lucian's family.
Upon arrival, the family received a warm welcome. With the director's assistance, the three children quickly bonded with the other children. The orphanage staff clearly provided excellent psychological care; the children were vibrant and energetic.
The donation process proceeded smoothly. The children donated over one hundred thirty thousand dollarsโa sum that surprised Roxanne and Lucian, as they'd never given their children allowances, believing they lacked for nothing. Roxanne, worried, turned to Archie and Benny. "How did you save so much money?" she asked, fearing they'd used their hacking skills illegally. Estella quickly explained, "It wasn't them. I earned most of it by fixing website vulnerabilities for clients, using what Archie and Benny taught me. They paid very well!" Archie and Benny nodded, adding that they'd also contributed legally through online courses and their website. "Essie earned much more than we did this time, but Benny and I will donate more in the future!"
The orphanage director thanked them profusely. "Thank you. I'll tell the other children about your kindness so they can learn to help others when they're able."
Meanwhile, Madilyn and Jonathan diligently worked. Madilyn and her team conducted health checkups on dozens of children, while Jonathan collaborated with sponsors to upgrade the children's living conditions, replacing old beds and equipment.
In the afternoon, the orphanage staff prepared a meal in gratitude. Before departing, Roxanne, Lucian, and their children said their goodbyes, promising a return visit. "We'll come back again, everyone!" The director personally escorted them to the door, reiterating his thanks. Lucian, feeling slightly embarrassed by the director's generosity, promised further donations. Leaving Jonathan and Madilyn to their work, Roxanne and Lucian departed.
After their departure, Madilyn completed the health checkup results and gave them to the director. Some children required specialized hospital care. Jonathan, too, finished his tasks, feeling a sense of accomplishment.
