Chapter 1837: The Way Forward

Christina simply nodded. After three months, she had returned. From the moment she entered Hawen, revenge against Roxanne had been her sole focus. Her family, her emotions, her very beingโ€”everything was lost because of Roxanne. In Hawen, sheโ€™d used her body to finance plastic surgery, housing, cosmetics, and her lifestyle. Fortunately, sheโ€™d met the son of a powerful tycoon, securing the financial means for her revenge. Though she was merely a plaything to him, it mattered little; she was favored. This cruise alone cost millions. Mr. Goldstein enjoyed such dynamics, and sheโ€™d assiduously cultivated his favor.

As Elektra observed Christina, her shock gradually subsided. The Aubree before her was unlike the one she knew. Had Christina not confessed, Elektra would have suspected deception.

โ€œElektra, do you believe me? I want to collaborate with you to deal with Roxanne!โ€ The loathing in Christina's eyes was palpable.

โ€œI understand. But tell me, whatโ€™s your approach? And why me? While Iโ€™m interested in Lucian, my dislike for Roxanne is mild; my hatred doesnโ€™t match yours.โ€ Elektra was wary, hesitant to fall into a trap, especially considering the Pearson family and Aubreeโ€™s fate.

โ€œI understand your reservations, but our goals align. You can get close to Lucian while I exact my revenge on Roxanne.โ€ A hint of confidence played on Aubreeโ€™s face. Mr. Goldsteinโ€™s support had expanded her capabilities.

โ€œSo, whatโ€™s the plan?โ€ Elektraโ€™s interest was piqued. All she desired was Lucian.

โ€œItโ€™s simple. Roxanne doesnโ€™t suspect you. Become her friend; thatโ€™s enough. Youโ€™ll provide information, and weโ€™ll bring Roxanne down together.โ€

Christinaโ€™s words were vague. Elektra frowned. โ€œAre you suggesting we directly harm Roxanne? Have you heard of the Damaris family? Roxanne isnโ€™t easily vanquished!โ€

Directly harming Roxanne would be foolish.

โ€œJack Damaris? Hahaโ€ฆ a pitiful man. Had he worked with me initially, things would be far better now!โ€ Christina had spent a fortune gathering information on Roxanne in Horington. Roxanne was with Lucian, had three children, and even Sonya had โ€œrepented.โ€ Hatred and pain consumed Christina; the intensity left her with a constant ache in her chest. Her eyes gleamed with anger and resentment.

โ€œOf course, we wonโ€™t cause direct harm. I know you wouldnโ€™t either. You donโ€™t want trouble, and I understand. That wonโ€™t happen. If you donโ€™t believe me, wait two days. Iโ€™ll show you the plan, the way forward!โ€
