Chapter 1843: Practically Geniuses

That night, upon returning to the mansion, Lucian received a meaningful glance from Roxanne, a silent plea to avoid mentioning Sonya's accident in front of the children.

"Daddy, Mommy, I've signed up for an international computing competition!" Benny announced eagerly.

Lucian ruffled the child's hair, praising, "That's great, but remember to be kind to the other children, okay?" Benny's hacking skills had reached a level that even Lucian found astonishing.

Archie, vying for his father's attention, quickly added, "Daddy, I joined the variety show Mega Brain and won the qualifying round! The production team invited me to the finals. Can I go?"

Roxanne couldn't help but feel amazed. These children! she thought. What have they been up to?

Lucian immediately scooped Archie into his arms, showering him with kisses. "Your memory is even better than a computer's! Go for the finals. I'll be there with you."

Estella, feeling the pressure to contribute, chimed in, "Daddy, Mommy, I sent a famous designer from Epea a copy of my design. He offered me an apprenticeship, but I'm too young to go abroad yet."

Lucian and Roxanne were speechless. Lucian, concerned about a possible scam, asked seriously, "Which designer? Is he legitimate?"

Archie and Benny readily explained. Archie stated, "I helped Essie find him. He's a renowned designer, ranked third worldwide—Bernard Brown, the designer behind many famous brands!" Benny added, "Essie's not proficient with Ustranasion emails yet, so I helped with the translation. His replies, from his work email, are still in my inbox."

Roxanne and Lucian exchanged astonished glances. Are our genes really this powerful? Our children are practically geniuses!

Bernard Brown was a legend. His name left Roxanne and Lucian momentarily stunned, yet they didn't forget to lavish Estella with praise and affection.

Estella, however, suggested, "I'll apprentice with Mr. Brown later. For now, I'll improve my Ustranasion and catch up with Archie and Benny. They're so smart, already knowing several languages."

The family conversed happily before Archie and Benny brought up Sonya's accident, revealing they'd learned about it from the news. To reassure them, Lucian video-called his mother.

Sonya and the children chatted for nearly an hour. Seeing their grandmother well, the children were relieved.

Back at the Farwell main residence, Sonya hung up and burst into tears. Elias, approaching with a sliced apple, asked, "Wasn't the call wonderful? Why are you crying?"

"I'm so happy! I've never been happier. Seeing how much my grandchildren care... I'm finally experiencing the true joys of being a grandmother." Sonya's tears were tears of joy.

She realized that despite not receiving complete forgiveness from her daughter-in-law, she found genuine happiness. Why didn't I see this before? I must have been insane to treat Roxanne so badly!

Elias smiled, handing her the apple. "It's wonderful, isn't it? Life changes when our attitude does."
