Chapter 1850

At the City Hall entrance, Roxanne held the marriage certificate, her thoughts drifting to their hastily arranged first wedding. Lucian had rushed off then, leaving Cayden to escort her home. This time, however, he stood smartly dressed, a bouquet of roses in hand, a wide smile on his face.

"Why the marriage certificate first?" he asked, kissing her forehead unabashedly. Many onlookers watched, captivated by their beauty.

"Let's register; we have much to do," Roxanne explained, her gaze fixed on his. "You proposed, and I want to settle the children's affairs quickly. We'll transfer Archie and Benny's accounts to your name when we return." The tenderness in his eyes was something she'd longed for.

"You're joking, right? You're rich now, too. The Farwell inheritance won't interest you?" Lucian presented her with the roses, then produced his phone. Bending slightly, he pressed his cheek against hers.

"What are you doing?" Roxanne asked, surprised.

"Taking a picture for my first Instagram post!" he replied.

Roxanne smiled brightly for the camera, radiating happiness. After several shots, Lucian began writing a caption.

"Isn't this inappropriate? Your followers are clients and family. Shouldn't you maintain a more reserved image? That's why you've never posted before, isn't it?" she cautioned softly.

Lucian shook his head. "You're the reason I'm changing."

Roxanne was stunned, curious about his caption. Hand in hand until the end? she wondered, Or is he declaring his love? She quickly checked her app. Looking up, she met his twinkling gaze just as his post loaded: "From this moment forth, we will never be apart again." He'd included a photo of their certificate.

"How unoriginal!" she teased, warmth spreading through her.

Lucian grinned. "Now I can document everything about us and the children on Instagram."

Roxanne nodded. Noticing the growing crowd, she urged him to leave. "Let's go. Next, wedding photos. We'll choose outfits today. Any preferences for the location?" He led her to the car.

She shrugged; the location mattered little. As long as the photos were with him, they would be beautiful.

However, Roxanne underestimated the difficulty of choosing wedding outfits. She'd assumed it would be simple, but the bridal shop overwhelmed her with choices. Two hours later, she was still undecided.
