Chapter 1877: Three Hundred Thousand Units
"Yay! Daddy and Mommy are getting married!" Seeing the wedding invitations and Lucian and Roxanne's beautiful wedding photos, the three little ones danced with excitement. The wedding was only ten days away, keeping Lucian incredibly busy. He fielded constant calls and messages, many congratulatory, others hoping for an invitation. He'd limited the guest list to five hundred for his once-in-a-lifetime wedding. Rumors circulated about stringent guest selection, focusing on elite families. With relatives and friends already included, Lucian needed to be highly selective.
"Daddy, Daddy! Can we help?" Archie, holding his siblings' hands, approached, eager to contribute.
Lucian replied, "Of course! Archie, cross-check the invitations and guest list against this list. We must ensure everyone invited is included. Benny, calculate the total gift money; we'll donate it to underprivileged children in remote areas. Essie, your artistic eye can help us review the wedding outfits, venue, and floral arrangements from the agency."
The children immediately began working, relieving Lucian of many minor tasks. Soon, Elias and Sonya arrived, providing additional names and discussing further wedding details.
Meanwhile, at the research institute, Roxanne worked diligently. As Elektra predicted, the second phase products sold out in three days. Even the extra inventory produced through overtime was depleted, falling short by two days' worth. The post-tax cash flow of two hundred million significantly improved the company's financial situation. Roxanne, however, intended to use a large portion to reward the R&D team and distribute the remainder among the factory employees. She'd forgo her substantial annual salary, as per her agreement with Elektra.
Roxanne's current concern was the production volume for the third phase. Elektra was aggressively expanding, with over ten franchise stores in Horington alone, aiming for three hundred nationwide. Roxanne worried about meeting the demand.
Linda knocked, presenting a report. "Ms. Lane wants to upgrade the office building. Since the Crawford Heights Group lease has a couple of years left, she's considering taking it overโa great deal she negotiated."
Roxanne paused, remembering Crawford Heights Group, Lucian's opponent. She was startled to learn of their bankruptcy after only a month. The entrepreneurial path, she reflected, was indeed perilous. Elektra secured the lease at a sixty-percent discount, demonstrating her business acumen.
"No problem, Linda. Tell Ms. Lane she doesn't need to report operational matters to me; she has full management authority." Roxanne preferred to focus on product development, acknowledging Elektra's superior marketing skills.
Reviewing the report, she exclaimed, "What? Three hundred thousand units? That's a lot!"
