Chapter 1902: An Angel From Heaven
Only three days remained until the wedding. Roxanne anticipated calm; after all, this was technically their second marriage. She hadn't expected the emotional surge upon seeing Estella's wedding dress. It was breathtakingly beautiful. Her daughter's talent was truly remarkable.
The dress wasn't pure white, but a delicate shade of gray. In sunlight, it possessed a grand yet elegant charm. Its mermaid-inspired design, more reminiscent of a swan's tail, featured a train adorned with sparkling embellishments. The material was both light and comfortable.
When Roxanne donned the dress, she was speechless. It imbued her with a goddess-like air.
"Mommy," Estella explained in her sweet voice, "I designed the gray to gradually lighten into white, like the ugly duckling becoming a swan." She'd aimed to capture the essence of that fairy tale, and it perfectly reflected Roxanne's journey.
Roxanne felt increasingly suited to the dress. "You're incredible, Essie," she exclaimed. "I love it! You're a genius, and you'll be a world-famous designer!" A touch of motherly pride welled up.
Estella, overjoyed, immediately shared the news with Archie and Benny. Lucian, hearing the commotion, emerged from his study. He stared, stunned for several seconds.
"Gorgeous," he breathed. "Simply breathtaking. You look perfect! Darling, seeing you in that dress makes me want to marry you again!"
Roxanne gave him a frosty look. "Again? This is the second time. How many more times are you planning on causing trouble?"
Lucian cautiously approached, kissing her unexpectedly. "A slip of the tongue," he murmured, a seductive glint in his eyes. "This time is forever."
Roxanne, however, remained unmoved. "You've smudged my lipstick!"
Archie and Benny rushed down, showering Roxanne with praise.
"Mommy, you look like an angel who fell to Earth! Daddy's so lucky!" Archie exclaimed.
"You're beautiful, Mommy!" Benny added. "Essie got the gown from the gods!"
They also lauded Estella, filling her with pride. Roxanne was equally delighted. Lucian watched them, silently impressed.
Elias and Sonya arrived with supplies for the traditional wedding elements, blending modern and traditional aspects to ensure Roxanne's happiness. Elias complimented Roxanne's beauty and Estella's work.
Sonya, after a brief stunned silence, muttered with a playful glare, "She looks a million times prettier than when I married you."
Elias responded innocently, and Sonya smiled, adding, "But Roxanne has such a good figure. She'll be the envy of many. It's just too beautiful!"
