Chapter 1961: You May Scram Now
Yulianaโs terror and shock eclipsed the pain in her cheek. Fear shone in her eyes as she pleaded, โNo, Iโm her sister! She misunderstood many things. Some were my motherโs actions, not mine. Lucian, please, donโt misunderstand me!โ
She knew Roxanne had Lucianโs support; directly confronting her would only bring humiliation. She hoped her aggrieved tone would elicit mercy.
Lucianโs face darkened. Her words grated on him. โWho are you to address me by my name? We are not related! My wife has never acknowledged you as her sister!โ
Roxanne, equally appalled by Yulianaโs audacity, seethed. โListen, Yuliana. Even if we share a surname, I donโt have a sister like you. If you continue this nonsense, Iโll tear your mouth apart!โ
The ingratiating smile froze on Yulianaโs lips. Countless thoughts flooded her mind before she finally conceded, clenching her jaw. โFine. I wonโt use your name, then. Mr. and Mrs. Farwell, do you intend to beat me to death in public?โ
Lucian was surprised by her swift change in demeanor.
โBeat you to death? You donโt deserve my time. Stop scheming against my wife, or Iโll make your life a living hell!โ Lucian warned, his annoyance bordering on amusement. He offered Roxanne a reassuring glance.
Roxanne, after a momentโs reflection, knew slapping Yuliana was pointless. A few slaps wouldn't change her. Her fury dissipated.
A hint of arrogance flickered in her eyes as she waved dismissively. โYou may scram now, Yuliana!โ
It was the most humiliating moment of Yulianaโs life. Rage consumed her, wrenching her heart. She gritted her teeth, longing to tear Roxanne apart. But a sliver of reason urged her to leave; staying meant enduring more abuse.
She shot Roxanne a venomous glare, spun on her heel, and hurried away. Damn it, damn it, damn it! Roxanne, I wonโt forget this. I swear Iโll make you suffer endless humiliation and anguish!
Regaining her composure, Roxanne felt drained, her adrenaline subsiding. Lucian caught her arm, offering support.
โAre you okay?โ
Roxanne nodded, a satisfied grin spreading across her face. โIโm sorry for losing my temper. Seeing Yuliana, all I could think about was revenge.โ
โI understand. You donโt need to explain,โ Lucian said, silently making a decision.
The hotel security resumed their posts, leaving disappointed onlookers. Lucian drove Roxanne home, where the children awaited. Leaving Roxanne with them, he entered his study and called Cayden.
Lucian issued a chilling command, โListen carefully. Use any means necessary to ensure Yuliana Jarvis never sets foot in Horington again.โ
Cayden, sensing the gravity of his employerโs tone, responded promptly, โUnderstood. Iโll take care of it immediately.โ
The call ended, and Lucian calmly rejoined Roxanne and the children.
