Chapter 1968: On Cloud Nine

Madilyn felt embarrassed being exposed by Ocean Blue in front of Archie and Benny. Wanting to put him in his place, she taunted, "Blue, let's play a few more rounds. I'd like to see where you get that confidence. My godsons are with me, so don't even think about winning!"

Ocean Blue responded with mocking emojis, infuriating Madilyn. Nevertheless, he readily accepted her challenge, changing the game format from five-on-five to three-on-three. He replaced his randomly assigned teammates with two friends.

Benny quickly checked their opponents' profiles. "Archie," he said, "they're skilled players. This won't be easy. We have to give it our all!"

Archie nodded firmly. Turning to Madilyn, he cautioned, "Aunt Madilyn, be careful. Don't be reckless and get repeatedly killed; it affects our team's performance."

"Sure, I'll do whatever you say, as long as we win!" Madilyn readily agreed.

The battle began. Both teams unleashed their best skills and strongest attacks. Madilyn felt adrenaline surging as she concentrated. Archie and Benny, though relaxed as usual, appeared more focused.

"Retreat, Aunt Madilyn! Don't let them kill you!" Archie commanded.

Benny swiftly intervened, repelling the enemy as he saw Madilyn struggling and her health points dwindling.

The match intensified. After Archie killed him, Ocean Blue messaged: "Both of you are skilled, but you'll be bogged down by Jenny!"

Madilyn was about to explode, but Archie quickly comforted her. "Don't mind him, Aunt Madilyn. He's trying to destroy our morale and disrupt our cooperation."

Benny nodded in agreement, complimenting Madilyn's improvement.

Madilyn was moved by their concern. "All right," she said, calming down, "I'll cooperate and keep my emotions in check!" Her skills improved.

They won the first round. They also won the second, though it was close as their opponents' teamwork improved. In the third round, Madilyn adopted a supporting role, which proved surprisingly effective. Overwhelmed by Archie and Benny's attacks, their opponents were defeated more quickly than in the second round.

Madilyn was elated.

"Aunt Madilyn," Archie observed thoughtfully, "supporting characters suit you best. You're very talented."

"That's right!" Benny exclaimed. "Your moves were crucial! I thought our opponents would be stronger in the third round, but our damage rate soared when you started assisting us! It let us win faster!"

Madilyn was overjoyed by their praise.

Their opponents remained silent after their defeat, not yet quitting the game. Then, a deep, attractive male voice said, "Are your godsons the two Farwell boys? If so, I gladly accept defeat. Am I right?"
