Even after considering it for some time, Jonathan didn't know how to answer. He shook his head, then looked at Lucian and Roxanne in confusion. “Have I changed? Why don't I feel any different? All I know is that I feel like changing my clothes now.”

Such a response amused the couple. Jonathan hadn't changed much; he was still as blunt as ever. Roxanne also noticed Madilyn stealing glances at Jonathan, her eyes practically sparkling.

Meanwhile, Jonathan retrieved medicinal herbs from his car. Lucian nodded and thanked him with a smile. “That's so thoughtful of you.”

Roxanne recognized the herbs' value immediately. They were priceless. “These are all safe for pregnancy. These must have been your recommendations, am I right?” she asked Madilyn. Jonathan might know their origins and prices, but not necessarily their effects.

Madilyn openly admitted, “You're right. Jonathan knows they're supplements, but not their contraindications. He sent my mother a large quantity suitable for pregnancy. Because of that, she kept urging me to get pregnant, saying they'd be handy if I did!”

Jonathan scratched his head and sheepishly smiled at the embarrassing mention. Madilyn immediately regretted bringing it up, as Roxanne began teasing her relentlessly. “Well, she’s not wrong. You can take them if you're pregnant. If you get pregnant in the future, I bet Jonathan will obtain all sorts of supplements for you!”

Madilyn panicked. "I haven't even expressed my feelings to him!" she thought, shooting Roxanne a pleading look.

“That won't be a problem,” Jonathan interjected.

Roxanne burst into laughter, and even Lucian smiled. Suddenly, Estella's voice called from upstairs. “Aunt Madilyn! Aunt Madilyn, you're here! What were you talking about just now? Is Mommy pregnant?”

Archie and Benny peeked over the spiral staircase, both looking at Roxanne. “Mommy, you're pregnant? Why didn't you tell us?”

The three children, excited, started downstairs until Elias reminded the boys about their knee injuries. He carried them down while Estella skipped to Roxanne.

Roxanne had planned to keep the pregnancy a secret until it was more stable, but now she had to admit it. “That's right. You'll have a younger brother or sister very soon!”

“Wow! Really? You're awesome, Mommy!” Estella exclaimed, kissing Roxanne repeatedly. Archie and Benny, also smiling, lovingly held her hands.

“Mommy, you're so amazing,” Archie said sincerely.

Benny, already thinking ahead, asked, “Mommy, how many babies are you going to have? Can you give birth to two more? Can we have another brother or sister?”

Roxanne was unsure how to answer. Just one more would be enough!

As Lucian watched the children's affection for Roxanne, a wave of jealousy washed over him. He was the father; he'd had a part in the baby's creation, yet received no credit.
