Colby noticed Roxanne scrolling through her Twitter feed and asked curiously, "Are there any interesting topics I should know about?"

Roxanne smiled nonchalantly. "Nothing much. Just some gossip."

Given her relationship with Lucian, his news could only be considered gossip. Colby, wanting to continue the conversation, asked, "What kind of gossip? Did a celebrity do something?"

Roxanne, surprised by his persistence, replied vaguely, "It's not a celebrity. I forgot their names; I just clicked on it."

She abruptly changed the subject, "This recent project is demanding, isn't it? I'm already exhausted."

Colby subtly raised his eyebrows and followed her lead.

Roxanne left work early that day. Colby drove her to the kindergarten, arriving just as the children were dismissed. Archie and Benny rushed out.

Roxanne quickly spotted them in the crowd and collected them. Estella looked at her pitifully.

Roxanne felt a pang of inexplicable guilt. However, remembering the news she'd seen, she genuinely didn't want to face Lucian again.

She hardened her heart, bent down to touch Estella's head, and said, "Essie, can you wait for Daddy with Ms. Ward? I have some things to do and need to go back quickly."

Without looking at Estella, she hurried to Colby's car with Archie and Benny.

Archie and Benny remembered Colby and greeted him politely, "Hello, Mr. Galloway."

Colby smiled warmly. He started the car and drove toward Roxanne's house.

From the back seat, Archie and Benny looked at Colby in the rearview mirror and fell into deep thought. They'd previously thought Lucian wasn't bad, but now, with Lucian getting married to someone else, they considered Colby a viable alternative.

Meanwhile, Cayden saw the news and immediately recognized the woman in the photo. He contacted Lucian.

"Mr. Farwell, this news… Should we issue a clarification?"

Lucian, busy with work, looked at the phone Cayden offered. His brows furrowed slightly upon seeing the photo. He hadn't realized they'd been photographed. The picture showed them looking like a loving couple. He bit his lip after reading the comments.

Cayden, after receiving no immediate reply, urged, "Mr. Farwell?"

Lucian returned the phone indifferently. "No need. Let it be."

A clarification would inevitably involve Roxanne, who was trying to distance herself from him. She wouldn't want to be involved in such a scandal.

Cayden hesitated before agreeing. Seeing Lucian had no further instructions, he quietly left the office.
