Chapter 2085 Extra 4

Ever since Madilyn's pregnancy, Jonathan abandoned his business to become her full-time nanny. Lucian offered no objections, but Roxanne was displeased; he spent more time with the children than she did, and she feared they would seek him out more in the future. She needed to reconnect with them and reaffirm her place in their lives, dedicating more time to Seward and Noreen.

Unbeknownst to her, Archie, Benny, and Estella were thriving. Archie won first place in a national poetry competition, appearing on a major television program and becoming a celebrated child prodigy. Benny led a team of expert technicians in thwarting a cyberattack on Chanaea's key domestic companies, earning him a secret commendation and an invitation to join the government's network security department upon reaching adulthood. Estellaโ€™s children's clothing line, Snuggly, gained immense popularity, even attracting the attention of Faulkay's fashion week organizersโ€”though Lucian declined the invitations. Seward and Noreen, with the help of their siblings, were learning to walk at a rapid pace.

During Madilyn's ten-month pregnancy, Roxanne provided invaluable assistance; Lorraine, comparatively less experienced, proved no match for Roxanne's five children. When the baby's cries finally rang out, Jonathan, waiting in the hospital corridor, was overjoyed. His son, Harper Queen (Tappy), had arrived.

Their family grew ever more lively. Jonathan and Madilyn even planned to have twins the following year, aiming to rival Lucian and Roxanne's brood. Meanwhile, Elektra drifted into a hypnotic state under Jamesโ€™ guidance, seeking to unravel fragmented memories. Most perplexing was her sudden shift in affections from James, whom she'd liked since high school, to Lucian.

Under James' gentle suggestion, a past scene emerged: Elektra had planned to confess her feelings to James during a hike. Her family's decision to send her abroad necessitated a timely confession; otherwise, the opportunity would be lost. But an accident occurred. While taking a picture, she accidentally pushed James from a high rock. Overwhelmed with guilt, she rushed to him, only to roll down the mountain herself, striking her head. She awoke to Lucian's voice, her memory of the incident blank, only remembering Lucian.

Awakening from the hypnosis, tears streamed down her face as she stared at James.

"What's wrong? What do you remember?" James asked, his gaze tender and concerned.

"James, I need to ask you something. Why didn't you look for me after we fell?" Elektra demanded, resentment lacing her voice.

James paused, scratched his head, and recalled the incident. "I was stuck higher up," he explained, smiling, "so I asked Lucian to rescue you first. You can't blame me; I couldn't save you."

Elektra understood. The fall had stolen her memories. Tears flowed freely as she embraced James tightly.
