Roxanne felt a surge of irritation. She was being sabotaged, jeopardizing the research institute's projects. She never imagined Aubree's vengeance would persist after six years, let alone be executed with such atrocious tactics. However, now wasn't the time for emotion.

Roxanne clenched her fists, composing herself. Turning to Colby, she said, "It's okay. If Horington isn't the solution, we'll try other cities. Surely someone will collaborate."

This, however, meant increased costs and time. Roxanne didn't mention it, but she was acutely aware of the consequences. She had hoped to find a partner in Horington, but the prospects seemed bleak.

"No, there's no need for other cities," Colby said, his tone relaxed, a thoughtful expression on his face.

Roxanne raised an eyebrow. "You mean someone in Horington is willing to collaborate? We need a large-scale supplier, not a small one"

Colby nodded. "I know. This might require your personal attention."

Roxanne was perplexed.

"I heard it from you," Colby explained. "But first, have you heard of the Queen family? They're a prominent Horington family, a medical supply empire. Old Mr. Queen is highly respected, but his health is failing. They've sought doctors to no avail. They asked me to help, but I couldn't. You might have a chance."

"Is that so?" Roxanne replied, hesitant despite understanding. "The Queen family is high-stakes. Their prices won't necessarily be lower than our current offers."

"Before this," Colby said, "they offered expensive medicines as a reward. In the future, they could supply medicine at half price!"

Hope shone in Roxanne's eyes, lifting a weight from her shoulders. "Why didn't you say so earlier? That's fantastic!"

Colby beamed. "I considered it, but I'm not skilled enough. And you weren't available then. I dismissed it until now. Give it a try? What do you think?"

"Of course! No problem at all!" Roxanne stood confidently. "Help me contact them and schedule an appointment."

Colby felt relief at Roxanne's passion for the institute. He smiled. "I'll do it now. Wait here."

He left, pulling out his phone. Roxanne waited quietly. Regardless of the treatment's complexity, she was determined to cure Old Mr. Queen.

Soon, Colby returned.

"How did it go?" Roxanne asked eagerly.

Colby nodded. "We have a chance. The Queen family hasn't found a cure. Knowing I have someone to recommend, they agreed to your visit immediately."

"When do we go?"

"Tonight," Colby replied.

Roxanne readily agreed; the timing was perfect.

"I need your help," Roxanne said, turning serious. "Tell me Old Mr. Queen's symptoms. I need to prepare."

Colby complied.
