Chapter 372: Stay Out of It

Frieda took two steps back, defensively saying, "Did I say anything wrong? If Queen Group faces trouble because we oppose Farwell Group, it will be a huge crisis!"

Jonathan felt his temples throb. Clenching his jaw, he said, "Do you know why Queen Group has thrived for over a century?"

Frieda hung her head.

"Because we keep our promises!" Jonathan's look was disappointed. "If we abandon our principles for personal matters, Queen Group will lose credibility in the medical industry!"

Frieda cowered, glancing cautiously at Alfred. She said humbly, "Jonathan, I'm doing this for Queen Group. No company in Horington dares oppose Farwell Group! Mrs. Farwell warned every herb supplier to stay away from Roxanne. If we don't, how will she view us? Our relationship with Farwell Group could suffer. It's too risky." She looked at Jonathan expectantly.

Jonathan stared icily, waiting for more excuses.

"Don't you know what Roxanne did to the Farwell family six years ago? She deserves punishment," Frieda added.

Jonathan snorted.

Frieda's heart leaped; she looked at him, perplexed.

"You remember Dr. Jarvis's actions against the Farwell family six years ago, so you also remember how Dr. Jarvis cured Grandpa recently," Jonathan said, exposing her excuse. The more Frieda spoke, the more ridiculous her reasoning seemed.

Taken aback, Frieda instinctively looked at Alfred. Alfred's decision was clear.

"Grandpa" Frieda's voice softened, belatedly trying a more conciliatory approach.

Alfred, puzzled and weary, had treated his grandchildren equally, teaching them personally. Yet, Frieda had become ungrateful and difficult.

Does she not respect me at all?

Disappointment filled him as he gave Frieda a crestfallen look. "Don't turn to me. Dr. Jarvis saved my life, and I stated at the banquet that she should be considered family. How could you do this to her?"

Frieda began to explain, "Grandpa, you've misunderstood—"

Alfred interrupted, "Will you admit your mistake?" His voice was stern.

Frieda fell silent, her fear turning to indignation. I had my reasons, and I acted for Queen Group's sake. How dare they question me? They'll regret this when Farwell Group causes them trouble!

Seeing her lack of remorse, Alfred shook his head. "From today, you're barred from interfering in Queen Group's business. Jonathan will be solely in charge."

Frieda looked up in shock.
