Two days later, Roxanne arrived at Summibank early in the morning, as agreed. Someone was already waiting for her upon arrival.

Roxanne introduced herself and followed the person from the airport.

After getting into the car, the driver respectfully asked, "Mr. Ziegler has already booked you a hotel room. Would you prefer to go to the hotel, or directly to the office?" Roxanne, having brought nothing with her, replied, "If Mr. Ziegler is available, perhaps we should go to his office first." She wanted to conclude matters as quickly as possible.

The driver nodded and drove toward the office, simultaneously calling Jasper Ziegler to inform him.

Upon arrival, Jasper was waiting in his office.

"Hi, Dr. Jarvis. I've heard a lot about you," Jasper said, rising and extending his hand.

Roxanne shook his hand and offered a polite greeting.

After pleasantries, Roxanne stated her purpose: "Mr. Ziegler, I'm here to—"

Jasper interrupted, "I know. You're here to discuss collaboration. There's no rush, however. I'm not the only interested party."

Roxanne, fearing a change of heart, hesitated before saying, "I've prepared a proposal. Would you like to review it? We can adjust it based on your feedback."

Jasper smiled and waved his hand. "You've misunderstood. Since Mr. Queen introduced you, we're committed. Tonight, we're hosting a banquet, and I'd like you to attend. Representatives from other companies will be there."

Roxanne breathed a sigh of relief, but remained hesitant. "Oh, I see. I can wait. About the banquet…" She was concerned about attending a company event she'd never worked with before.

Jasper, unaware of her apprehension, continued, "Mr. Queen mentioned your global reputation, Dr. Jarvis. We'd be honored to have you. Many prominent figures in the pharmaceutical industry will be present—excellent networking opportunities. It benefits us both!"

Before recommending Roxanne, Jasper had already investigated her background, knowing her success at a previous medical conference. Many prominent figures, likely acquainted with Roxanne, were expected at the banquet. This was his reason for inviting her; her presence would enhance his connections and demonstrate his appreciation to both Jonathan and Roxanne.

Roxanne, hearing this, accepted. "Since you've invited me, Mr. Ziegler, I shall attend. I'll bring the documents."

Jasper countered, "That's unnecessary. We'll discuss with everyone tonight. Let's keep it informal. We can review the agreement tomorrow."

Roxanne briefly hesitated before agreeing.

Jasper informed Roxanne of the banquet's time and location before sending her back to the hotel.
