Meanwhile, despite being in Lorington, Jonathan received an invitation from Jasper. Busy with Queen Group, he couldn't attend the banquet. However, he suspected Lucian would be interested. After speaking with Jasper, Jonathan immediately called Lucian.

Lucian's first question was, "Is Roxanne here already?"

Jonathan momentarily froze, then playfully replied, "She is. Besides, Dr. Jarvis' potential business partner in Summerbank invited her, and she accepted."

Lucian's brow furrowed slightly. "Got it," he said in a deep voice, hanging up before Jonathan could respond.

A teasing smile played on Jonathan's lips as his phone screen dimmed. He knew Lucian would be at the banquet.

In Summerbank, a knock came on Lucian's door after the call. Farwell Group's business partner entered, smiling.

"Mr. Farwell, shall we review the contract?" he asked.

Lucian's Summerbank partners felt helpless; they'd noticed Farwell Group's mistakes, hoping to leverage them. They hadn't anticipated Lucian's personal appearance. Not only did their advantage vanish, but they faced countless demands from Lucian, nearly jeopardizing their collaboration with Farwell Group.

For days, Lucian had been cooperative but dubious. The person in charge humbly altered the contract terms to meet Lucian's requests, yet Lucian still wouldn't sign. They desperately wanted the Farwell Group partnership; even without profit, it would significantly boost their reputation.

Despite Lucian's attitude, they were relieved he hadn't rejected them. A slim chance remained. The project lead consulted Lucian daily.

That day, Lucian, hand in pocket, looked down at the lead, who hung his head, cautious. Although still unanswered, the lead didn't dare to rush him.

"Your company's quite prominent in Summerbank, isn't it?" Lucian asked.

"We're ranked first in our industry," the lead replied hurriedly, eyeing Lucian warily, fearing he'd found another partner.

Lucian nodded, satisfied. "I hear Ziegler Group is hosting a banquet tonight. Will your company attend?"

"Um... We're not in pharmaceuticals, so Ziegler Group didn't invite us," the lead answered subconsciously. Seeing Lucian's doubtful look, he quickly corrected himself. "However, I'm sure they would if we asked."

Lucian nodded. "Have your boss bring the contract tonight."

Lucian had agreed to sign at the banquet. Thrilled, the lead agreed and informed his superiors.
