Right at that moment, the announcement became inaudible. The plane erupted into chaos; wails and screams filled the cabin. Some passengers demanded answers.

It was Roxanne's first experience with such a situation. Though uneasy, she initially managed to compose herself. However, as the commotion intensified, her anxiety grew. The airplane continued to experience turbulence.

Suddenly, someone cried, "My kids are waiting for me at home!"

Roxanne heard it clearly. Her eyes widened, her restlessness intensifying. My kidsโ€ฆ Archie and Benny are still waiting for me at home.

Roxanne already felt guilty about keeping their family background a secret. The thought of what might happen to them if anything happened to her was unbearable. Imagining her children alone, her face paled, and she gasped for breath, overwhelmed by anxiety. Just as she felt she might faint, a large hand grasped hers.

Roxanne regained some composure and heard Lucian's deep voice beside her ear. "Don't worry. It's just turbulence. It'll be over soon."

His voice seemed to have a calming effect; Roxanne could breathe normally again, though her body trembled. Noticing her distress, the anger Lucian had felt earlier vanished, replaced by concern.

"I'm right here. Nothing will happen to us. Don't be afraid," he comforted her.

Roxanne nodded absently, gazing toward the economy cabin. "Archieโ€ฆ Bennyโ€ฆ" she murmured.

Lucian strained to hear her. Even in her fear, she thought of her children. At that moment, his resentment toward Archie and Benny's father intensified. How can he call himself a man, leaving his wife to raise their children alone?

Despite his anger, he said softly, "Archie and Benny are waiting for you at home. You will return safely, so stop overthinking. Take deep breaths and relax."

Roxanne tried, but her body felt unresponsive. The other passengers ignored the flight attendant's instructions; the chaos was overwhelming.

Lucian followed Roxanne's gaze, understanding her sudden fear. His eyes darkened.

In a gentle voice, he said, "Don't listen to them. Listen to me. Turbulence isn't a major problem, and we will be fine. They're scared because they haven't experienced this before. They don't understand." Roxanne's attention slowly shifted from the turmoil in the economy cabin. The loud noises gradually faded.

Lucian breathed a sigh of relief as Roxanne calmed down. The situation remained chaotic, but he continued to talk to her, holding her hand tightly, offering support.

Slowly, Roxanne tightened her grip on his hand. Sensing the pressure, Lucian reciprocated. Terrified, she clung to him, releasing her fear, and he allowed it. He anticipated her reaction when she realized they had been holding hands.
