Chapter 566

The children reached out to the dolphins. Immediately, a dolphin swam over and gently touched their palms with its mouth. "Wow!" the children exclaimed, their eyes wide with surprise.

A tender look filled Roxanne's eyes as she watched them. She had momentarily forgotten her distance issues with Lucian. Lowering her gaze, she retrieved her camera and photographed the children. A seagull wheeled past in the distance.

Suddenly, a dolphin leaped into the air and kissed Estella on the cheek. Estella froze, then, regaining her senses, touched her damp face, her eyes widening in surprise.

"Ms. Jarvis! Daddy!" Estella ran excitedly back to Roxanne and Lucian, eager to share her experience. Roxanne, having already captured the adorable interaction, smiled wider at Estella's excited expression. "I saw it. Looks like the little animals really like you, huh?"

Estella smiled shyly and returned to the dolphins. Archie and Benny, witnessing this, were intensely envious. They tried everything to get a dolphin kiss. Benny, staring expectantly, leaned so far over the deck that nearly half his body hung over the edge. However, even after waiting a long time, the dolphins remained distant, seemingly wary of him.

Just as he considered other approaches, someone grabbed his shirt and pulled him back. "It's dangerous," Lucian said sternly.

Seeing Lucian, Benny sheepishly apologized, "Sorry. I won't do it again." He then looked at Roxanne with a pitiful expression.

Roxanne was startled by Benny's actions. The children were smaller than the dolphins, and she feared a collision might send them into the water. Thankfully, Lucian had intervened just in time.

Though Benny's gaze softened her heart, Roxanne maintained a firm expression. "Don't forget what you promised me earlier."

Benny felt even guiltier. He had already worried her by going missing the previous day. This only added to his remorse. He pursed his lips, walked to Roxanne, and tugged gently at her top. "Sorry, Mommy. I don't want to play anymore."

Seeing his dejected look, Roxanne sighed and patted his head. "I'm not blaming you. I just worry for you, just like you worried for me when I was underwater for so long. Now you can swim, but I still worry you might fall." The children were young, and she couldn't help worrying about them falling into the sea after being touched by the dolphins, possibly panicking and forgetting how to swim.

Benny nodded obediently. "Okay, Mommy."

Roxanne smiled. "It's good that you understand. Go play. I'll watch you from here." But Benny remained guiltily still until Roxanne gently nudged him.

Once Benny was out of earshot, Roxanne turned to Lucian. "Thank you." Lucian simply nodded.
