Chapter 565

After resting, Roxanne felt much better. She rose to change into fresh clothes. Meanwhile, the yacht had traveled a considerable distance.

The yacht staff announced, “Children, please pay attention! Dolphins often appear here. They are friendly and love interacting with people, especially children, so there’s no need to be afraid!”

The children nodded eagerly, their faces alight with anticipation.

“Mommy!” Archie and Benny called.

Roxanne turned, confused.

“Can you unbuckle us? We want to play with the dolphins,” the boys asked hesitantly. Estella also looked on expectantly.

Roxanne’s heart softened at their pleas, but safety concerns gave her pause. The boys exchanged glances before looking at Lucian.

Benny said sweetly, “We’ll be good, and promise to keep a safe distance. Can we be unbuckled now?”

“Daddy…” Estella gave her father a pleading look. The children knew Lucian held ultimate authority at sea. Roxanne, however, was surprised by their swift change of focus. A strange feeling washed over her as she glanced at Lucian.

To her surprise, Lucian merely raised an eyebrow. Showing no concern, he said, “I’ll unbuckle you all, as long as you aren’t afraid.”

The children nodded vigorously. “We’re not! We want to play with the dolphins!”

Immediately, Lucian rose, unbuckled the children, and they rushed to the deck, Lucian following slowly.

Still worried, Roxanne hesitated before rising and joining them. The deck was narrow, but the adults kept their distance to give the children space, appearing from behind like a couple. The children's laughter made them seem like a peaceful family.

Roxanne started to move away, aware of the shrinking distance between herself and Lucian, when he grasped her wrist.

“What are you doing? Let go!” Roxanne whispered, fearing she'd frighten the children.

Lucian frowned, his gaze stern. “Don’t move. It’s dangerous.”

Roxanne was startled by his expression. Before she could respond, movement on the water caught her eye.

The children cheered, “Dolphins! The dolphins are here!”

Roxanne and Lucian looked. Not far off, a pod of dolphins leaped and swam towards them. The children waved excitedly, “Hello! We’re here! Come play with us!”

Roxanne found their innocent interaction amusing. As if understanding, the dolphins increased their speed.

The children carefully leaned forward, watching the dolphins swim below.
