Chapter 634
The banquet's atmosphere soared after Jack's speech, all eyes now upon him. Even those who hadn't previously associated with him and the other doctors had heard rumors of his exceptional wisdom and elegance. Some, initially unconvinced by his youth, had attended out of respect for his Damaris family affiliation. However, his speech dispelled their preconceived notions, simultaneously bolstering their confidence in the two young doctors seated beside him.
"On another note," Jack announced, his voice cutting through the audience's quiet contemplation, "I apologize for my oversight. Allow me to re-introduce these two."
All eyes refocused on Roxanne and Larry, who exchanged glances with Jack before he smiled and addressed the crowd.
"All of you are participating in a project initiated by my family's research institute. This lady, Roxanne Jarvis, is an exemplary student of Professor Harvey Lambert. She returned to Chanaea at his behest to manage the VR Research Institute and will be working closely with the Damaris family on this project."
He then introduced Larry: "I'm sure you've all heard of Dr. Larry Morrison. He's not only the heir to the Morrison family but has also achieved significant international acclaim in medicine. His participation secures vital financial support from the Morrison family."
Jack's words erased all doubt, replacing it with astonishment and reverence. While Roxanne was less widely known, Professor Lambert was legendary. His entrusting her with the institute's management spoke volumes about her capabilities. As for Larry, many had heard his name but never met him. No one expected such talent from these seemingly privileged youngsters.
Roxanne and Larry, however, remained humble amidst the accolades. After Jack's introductions, they rose and addressed the crowd: "We hope we can all work together harmoniously, and please feel free to correct any mistakes we make."
The other doctors sighed in amazement at their modesty. Daniel, having worked most closely with them, rose to speak: "I had the privilege of working with them during the previous consultation, and I dare say the future of medicine in Chanaea looks exceptionally bright with such individuals involved!"
The crowd nodded in agreement. An apology followed: "Dr. Jarvis, Dr. Morrison, please excuse my earlier rudeness. I hope you won't take it to heart." The youngsters beamed. "Not at all! We're young; it's natural to have doubts."
