Just as she recovered from the shock, Roxanne accidentally refreshed the page. She noticed changes and instinctively lowered her head to examine them.

Roxanne was even more surprised by the article's publication time, and a fleeting image of Lucian crossed her mind. Cayden had said Lucian was busy that evening when he picked up Estella. Roxanne wondered what he was working on. Oddly, the news article was published that very night.

Roxanne surmised Lucian was the mastermind behind the plot against Herbscape Group. The scandal erupted immediately after they signed the agreement with Damaris Group, after initially planning to collaborate with Farwell Group. Farwell Group was notorious for hindering former partners who left them.

Roxanne recalled Lucian's words from the evening she told him she would attend the contract signing ceremony. He'd said he wouldn't let the signing between Herbscape and Damaris go smoothly. His attitude then suggested he aimed to gain control of Herbscape Group. However, he hadn't stopped her from attending the ceremony.

Was this Farwell Group's revenge against Herbscape Group, or a continuation of the competition between Farwell and Damaris? Roxanne was truly baffled. She even wondered if Lucian was acting because of her. It seemed unlikely he was unconcerned about that morning's events. If Herbscape's damaged reputation affected Damaris Group, Roxanne wouldn't know how to compensate Jack for his losses.

Meanwhile, at the Farwell residence, Estella remembered the boys' comments after Cayden brought her home. She was tasked with discovering if Lucian was also angry at Roxanne. Estella felt responsible. If Lucian was truly angry, she felt compelled to appease him and urge him to work harder to win Roxanne back.

However, it was already ten o'clock, and Lucian was still absent. Growing sleepy after waiting so long, Estella became upset and her eyes reddened.

"Ms. Estella, let's go upstairs to sleep," Catalina said, seeing Estella waiting in the living room.

Estella pouted and shook her head. "Daddy..." She wanted to wait for Lucian's return.

Catalina was at a loss. "If Mr. Farwell isn't back by now, I think he'll only return in the middle of the night. Let's sleep and wait for him. He'll surely visit you in your room, and you can talk to him in the morning."

Estella stubbornly shook her head, her small hands clutching the couch. Catalina sighed in defeat, standing beside Estella and watching her closely.
