Henry laughed. "No matter how influential he was back then, he couldn't eclipse you now."

"Alright, stop flattering me. Get the car. Let's meet Jake Graham and find out what he knows about the Cadens incident ten years ago."

"Alright." Henry quickly went to the nearby parking lot and returned driving a black Lunar. He picked up James and Scarlett, then drove slowly to the People's Repair Shop in the suburbs. They arrived around nine o'clock.

A large repair shop stood before them, with a black Lunar parked outside. Henry, in the driver's seat, pointed. "James, this is Jake Graham's headquarters. It looks like a repair shop, but it's heavily armed inside." James remained indifferent.

"Let's go."

The three exited the car and approached the shop. Before they entered, a man in oily rags emerged. "Sorry, we're closed. Come back tomorrow."

Henry replied, "We're here to see Jake. We have an appointment."

"Hmm?" The repairman glanced at them, then nodded. "Follow me."

He led them to the shop's backyard and into a room containing a secret door. Behind it lay a secret passage guarded by several men with submachine guns. The repairman waved. "They're here to see the Boss. They have an appointment. Search them."

Two men approached to search them.

"What's this?" Henry stepped forward, shielding James. "Don't you know who this is?"

The repairman replied coolly, "Rules are rules. Leave if you don't want to be searched."

James gestured to Henry. "When in Rome"

Henry nodded. The men searched them. They found a gun on Henry; Scarlett voluntarily surrendered her firearm; and James, though weaponless, had a silver needle confiscated.

"Go on." The repairman dismissed them.

They followed him into the long passage, which extended deep underground, passing numerous armed mercenaries.

Henry whispered, "Jake's influence extends far beyond Cansington; he's the 'Boss' in the triad world, the King of the Underworld. Xander Lawrence, the man you killed, was nothing to him."

"Hmm," James murmured, nodding. He showed little concern for a mere local kingpin. He could obliterate this place with a call to the Blithe King.

They reached an underground casino teeming with people. James remained unconcerned.

The repairman led them to a closed door. "The Boss is with guests. Wait here."

James nodded. "Alright." A little wait was inconsequential. If this meeting yielded nothing, the place would cease to exist.
