Henry reported the situation to James. James's face darkened. "How are the preparations going for the Blithe King?"
Henry replied, "I've inquired. He said he's assembled the forces: one hundred combat aircraft, three hundred tanks, five hundred armored vehicles, and one thousand convoys in the military region. They're awaiting your command. However, he said this will be the last time he helps you, and he doesn't want to cause a commotion."
James said coldly, "I'll spare those unrelated to the case. However, there will be no mercy for those involved."
Henry felt the murderous intent in James's voice.
James left the Common Clinic, changed clothes, and donned a large trench coat. He held the mask he'd carried earlier. Today, he would settle a decade-old feud.
The Great Four were gathered in the Cansington suburbs near Flora Lakeside. As far as the eye could see, waves of black-vested men, armed with machetes and metal rods, filled the area. These were underworld figures. Rowena was also present. Though recently bedridden, she was nearly recovered, though a scar marred her face. Her usual glamour was replaced by wretchedness. She glanced at The Great Four, then at Dawson, Nine Fingers, and other powerful underworld figures. "Hector, you will doom us all."
Hector scoffed, "Tens of thousands of us are here. Why fear the remnants of the Cadens? If they dare appear, they're walking to their deaths."
Dawson, unconcerned, said, "This is where the Cadens' residence burned down ten years ago. If the remnants dare appear, it will be their end."
Hector immediately added, "As long as Dawson's here, they wouldn't dare."
The other members of The Great Four were emboldened.
Melvin from the Fraisers checked the time. "It's nine o'clock. Let's wait until noon to bury our fathers."
Kelvin from the Wilsons agreed. "Noon is perfect."
A man with a Green Dragon tattoo ran in, kneeling. "Dawson, a car approaches. Two masked men are inside."
Dawson cackled, "Let them come. This will be their final resting place."
From afar, Henry drove toward them, seeing only men armed with machetes and metal rods surrounding the Cadens' cemetery. His heart pounded. He sighed, "Let's hope they don't push it too far. Otherwise, Flora Lakeside will run red with blood."
"Stop the car." "Yes."
Henry stopped. James exited the vehicle.
Black-vested men, armed with machetes and metal rods, stood along the roads, their imposing formation terrifying to any ordinary person. James, however, marched forward undeterred.
The leaders of The Great Four watched through binoculars. Seeing James and Henry approach, they laughed. "This is hilarious!" "Are they really approaching with only two men? They must be suicidal." "I've worried about the Cadens' remnants. Who knew there'd only be two?" "Let them come. I'll end them in the Cadens' cemetery." The Great Four dissolved into laughter, considering James and Henry already dead.
