"Mom, that's absurd! How could it be me?" Thea's eyes welled up, feeling wronged. "It's alright if Grandpa doesn't believe me, but even my own parents are doubting me," she thought.

"Mom, I trust Thea wouldn't do such things. It must be Howard's family pulling something," David said.

Alyssa nodded. "I agree. Our family owns fifty percent of the family business, and Thea reclaimed the executive chairman position. Howard has always controlled the business, so why would he give it up?" Gladys sighed.

Gladys had initially envisioned a comfortable life and hadn't expected these events. "Am I really not destined to be a rich wife in this lifetime?" she wondered aloud.

"How about we start our own company? With Thea's capabilities, we can succeed in Cansington, the capital of medicine," James suggested. "Easy for you to say. Do you know how much money and effort it takes to start a company?" Gladys scolded him.

"We can take out loans if needed. Let's start small. With Thea's connections, we won't have to worry about orders. The company will grow gradually, and we can eventually manufacture our own medicines," James explained.

"Forget it. Cansington's pharmaceutical market is saturated. It's too difficult to succeed," David countered. Gladys agreed, "He's right. Thousands of pharmaceutical companies started this year, and thousands more went bankrupt. James, don't suggest unrealistic ideas. Thea can return to Eternality once her grandfather calms down." The entire family rejected the idea. 'They've no guts,' James thought, feeling helpless. They remained stubbornly reliant on the Callahans.

'Do I really have to tell them I own the entire Transgenerational New City for them to believe starting a pharmaceutical company is easy?' he mused.

James remained silent. It was unbelievable. While his family wasn't impoverished, their assets totaled only one billion dollars. They wouldn't believe him if he revealed his trillions.

He looked at Thea. "Thea, you have the final say. If you're willing, we'll start our own company. Your connections will ensure orders. As long as we secure a loan, we can begin immediately."

James wanted to mention his access to hundreds of millions in start-up capital, but Thea had previously asked him not to discuss his finances with the family.

Thea was intrigued. James's proposal made sense. She had influential contacts, including Alex, chairman of Celestial Group, and Yuna of Longevity Pharmaceuticals. Orders wouldn't be a problem. "D-do we really…take a loan to open a company?" she asked, looking at James. He took her hands. "I'll always be by your side. It's just money. We could get a multi-billion dollar order contract from Celestial Group and Longevity Pharmaceuticals, guaranteeing loan approval."

"Forget it," Gladys interjected. "Rest. Your grandmother's birthday is soon. Let's go to her house in North Cansington for a vacation."

She opposed the idea. "We'll be deeply in debt if the company fails. Being broke is better than being in debt."

Benjamin agreed. "Wasn't there news about a company that went bankrupt in three months? The owner was three hundred million dollars in debt and jumped from a building." "Yeah, let's not take risks," added Benjamin. "James, maybe we should forget about it?" Thea asked, glancing at James.

James was speechless. He'd almost convinced Thea, but her family's negativity had undermined her enthusiasm. "Then we'll take a break and think about it later." He ceased his efforts.
