James was a Black Dragon. To him, cowering to evil for survival was worse than death. Even when wounded and nearly defeated, he refused to kneel. He married Thea, swearing to never let her feel sad again.
Pointing at Tommy, he declared, "He insulted Thea; he should apologize." He explained, "Thea had nothing to do with Alex. Alex works with Celestial Group because he owes me a debt."
James shielded Thea from insults, concealing his true identity. Everyone was shocked when the truth emerged. He continued, "I can get you invitations to the Blithe King's coronation ceremony, but please stop insulting Thea. Let's go, Thea." He left with Thea's hand in his, never looking back.
He knew Thea would remain her family's punching bag. He could easily kill others, but the Callahans were different; Thea would never forgive him.
Lex, furious, watched them go. "The meeting isn't over! I'm taking back 5% of Benjamin's shares," he announced, revealing his long-held intention, hampered until now by his reliance on Thea. Driving her out would cost them their Celestial Group opportunity. Gladys seethed; that was tens of millions of dollars. She wanted to skin James alive. Benjamin remained silent. Howard, Tommy, and Megan rejoiced, hoping Lex would revoke all of Benjamin's shares.
Lex declared, "Enough! Let's discuss getting invitations to the succession ceremony."
The Callahans began their discussion, dismissing James's offer. They doubted a military veteran held such sway over Alex, especially since Alex had already repaid his debt.
One Callahan suggested, "Megan's boyfriend is an Oswald. The Oswalds are as powerful as the Great Fou. Let Colson get invitations from his family."
Megan, glowing with pride, tugged on her handsome companion. Lex smiled broadly at Colson. "Colson, could you ask your father to help the Callahans get invitations?"
Colson replied, "I can try, but I can't guarantee my father will agree. Many people are requesting invitations."
"Colson, you must help us!" the Callahans urged. Megan added, "Grandpa, don't worry. Colson will get it done, right?" She gave him a pointed look.
Colson, speechless, knew his family's own attempts had failed. Reluctant but wanting to avoid embarrassment, he nodded. "I'll do my best. My father can probably manage it." The entire Callahan family now depended on Colson.
