Listen to this chapter:

Ten years ago, the Frasier family—along with the Wilsons and Zimmermans—learned that the Great Four were connected to the fire that destroyed the Cadens, killing thirty-eight family members. A man, identified only as James, delivered an ultimatum: the culprits from the Cadens' villa must kneel at the Cadens' cemetery for ten days and atone with their deaths, or their entire families would be killed. The Xavier family (of the Great Four) had already perished; the heads of the other three families were also dead. Panic ensued.

The remaining families sought Rowena, the mastermind behind the Cadens' deaths, for advice. She was severely injured and hospitalized after a confrontation with James. James visited Rowena in her ward. Seeing him, she knelt in fear. He locked the door, sat down, and issued a new ultimatum: the remaining Xavier family members involved in the scheme against the Cadens must kneel at the cemetery for ten days, or they would all be killed. He gave Rowena one month to find "Moonlit Flowers on Cliffside's Edge."

Rowena begged for mercy, admitting her guilt. James, identified as "Commander" and "Black Dragon," coldly explained that eighteen Xaviers remain (excluding Rowena and the deceased). Unless they atone, none would be spared. He left, reiterating his promise to keep his word.

Devastated and regretful, Rowena realized that the Xaviers, though previously evacuated from Cansington, were now effectively trapped. The heads of the remaining three Great Four families soon arrived, revealing that a Cadens survivor—a more powerful figure than even the Blithe King—was seeking revenge. This survivor was responsible for killing Trent (head of the Frasiers) and had impersonated the Blithe King’s subordinate, framing him.

Rowena, understanding the gravity of the situation, instructed the families to comply with James' demands: "A dozen members of the Great Four should die rather than the entire Great Four perish." She revealed that her brother, Hector, was a high-ranking officer under the Blithe King, yet even his death hadn't prompted intervention, underscoring the survivor's immense power. The other family heads were stunned.

Rowena contacted Hector, ordering him to bring all those present at the Cadens' villa to kneel at the cemetery. Failure to comply would mean the annihilation of the Xaviers. The passage concludes with her understanding that, due to this mysterious survivor's power, she had little choice but to concede.
