Chapter 77: Opportunity to Deal with the Bitch
Exiting Derek's car, Vivienne wandered down the avenue aimlessly. The internal conflict was intense, pulling her in opposing directions. Derek's actions had stirred something in her heart, yet a cautious voice reminded her of past hurts. Her three-year relationship with Warren had been a profound disappointment, leaving her emotionally drained. Derek, having entered her life only days ago, added another layer of complexity.
With a frustrated sigh, Vivienne ran her fingers through her hair, entertaining the notion that things might simply resolve themselves. A wry smile touched her lips as she recalled Sienna's prediction that she would fall for Derek. Sienna had been right.
Lost in thought, the ringing of her phone jolted her back to reality. It was Sienna. "Vivienne, weren't you supposed to be here by now?"
"Just hailed a cab, I'll be there shortly," Vivienne replied, quickly catching a taxi.
She arrived at the bridal studio ten minutes later. Nestled in a quaint villa on Harmony Street, flanked by birch trees, the studio offered a tranquil retreat. The villa possessed a melancholic vintage charm, its pointed arches and rose windows distinctive. A bronze plaque reading "Redamancg" adorned the exterior. Sienna managed every aspect of the studio, from design to location, while Vivienne provided financial support and occasional client management.
Lena, a staff member, greeted Vivienne upon entry. "Sienna's in her office."
Vivienne nodded and ascended the spiral staircase. In the cozy office, an elegantly dressed woman sipped coffee on the couch.
"Ah, you've arrived," Sienna exclaimed, relief evident in her expression. She introduced Vivienne to the woman. "This is Vivienne Hayes, our chief designer, and this is Raina Vaughn." The Vaughn family was among Lyhaton's four most influential.
"Hello," Vivienne greeted warmly, extending her hand.
After introductions, they discussed wedding dress designs. Vivienne absorbed Raina's vision, taking notes and measurements.
"We'll prepare initial sketches for your review within a week. Feel free to request adjustments," Vivienne assured her.
Raina's face brightened. "That sounds wonderful, Miss Vivienne, thank you."
After Raina departed, Sienna and Vivienne returned to the office. Lena appeared at the door, nodding to Vivienne before addressing Sienna. "There's a Miss Chambers downstairs asking for you."
"Miss Chambers?" Sienna's voice cooled at the name. The name stirred old resentment, a reminder of Natalie's manipulative nature.
Setting down her coffee, Sienna said to Vivienne, "I'll be right back."
Downstairs, she found Natalie and Diana waiting. A cold smile played on Sienna's lips. Fate, it seemed, enjoyed reuniting enemies. Memories of Natalie's spiteful act against her car flooded back. Although Vivienne had quickly replaced it, the grudge lingered. With Natalie on her doorstep, Sienna was ready to confront her.
