Mae and Cindy’s amusement faded instantly.

With an air of superiority, Cindy retorted, “And what makes you think we did anything? Got any proof?”

“What proof could she have? She’s lashing out because she’s pissed,” Man said sarcastically. “Even if we didn’t post the pictures, it’s not like it’s a lie. You’re supposed to be Mr. Sutton’s fiancée, yet here you are, cozying up to all these guys. It’s disgraceful.”

“Exactly. A woman who dresses provocatively and uses her looks to lure men deserves such criticism.”

Mae and Cindy took turns throwing jabs, but all it did was make Freya laugh.

Mae frowned. “What’s so funny?”

“I find it hilarious. We’re in college, and you don’t realize spreading rumors is illegal?” Freya continued. “There are cameras all around us. A little investigation would reveal who’s behind this little stunt. I’ll gather the evidence and go to the police to teach whoever’s pulling these strings that I, Freya, am not to be trifled with.”

Mae and Cindy panicked, but Cindy quickly regained her composure. “Freya! Who do you think you are? You think the teachers are going to take the side of someone with your kind of rep?”

“Right, like the school’s surveillance is at your disposal. Do you think the police will care about this petty…”

Freya raised an eyebrow and said, “Didn’t you just say it? I’m Kieran’s fiancée. You know how much the Sutton family invests in Summit University yearly, right?”

Their faces turned pale at the reminder.

Cindy snapped, “Freya! You’re abusing your power!”

“Yeah, I am. And I can afford to be capricious because I’m Kieran’s fiancée. You don’t have that luxury.”

Turning around, she saw Kieran and Eloise approaching. Eloise was clinging to Kieran’s arm, clearly having been dropped off by him.

When she saw the two appear, Freya’s expression remained unchanged. Their presence had ruined such a bright morning.

“Eloise!” Cindy and Mae rushed to stand behind Eloise. With Eloise backing them, they weren’t intimidated by Freya.

Freya stated, “Mr. Sutton is here, too. What a coincidence.”

“It’s not. I was dropping off Ellie.” Kieran’s remark felt like a slap in Freya’s face before everyone. All the supposed fancy status of being the fiancée of the Sutton Group didn’t hold a candle to Eloise.

Eloise said, “Ms. Dawson, there’s been a misunderstanding with Cindy and Mae. Let me apologize on their behalf.”

“You don’t need to apologize for them,” Kieran said coldly. “I’ve heard everything from here, Freya. Weren’t you the one to be my fiancée? Why bother throwing around the title of the Sutton family’s fiancée?”
