Seeing Kara return to class, Luna fumed. “Why are you helping her? She’s just trying to bask in your glory to boost her status! I’ve seen this type a mile away!”

Luna had immediately seen through Kara’s schemes and couldn’t believe Freya hadn’t.

Freya explained, “It’s not about helping Kara. It’s more about keeping Kieran in check through her.”

If Kieran found out she had the private deals with Preston, there would be hell to pay. The Dawson Group would face Kieran’s wrath again. Thinking about it gave Freya a headache.

Freya had clung to Kieran like a bad habit, and he had barely given her the time of day. And when she desperately wanted to avoid him, Kieran seemed more relentless than ever. What a mess!

“Look, look! Mr. Sutton’s here!”

“That Mr. Sutton again? Why does he keep showing up so much lately?”

“He must be here for Eloise, right? I heard they had a row, so Mr. Sutton’s been coming to school looking for her.”

“Not at all! I think Mr. Sutton’s here for Freya.”

“For Freya? But I thought he couldn’t stand her?”

The students whispered among themselves in the hallway.

Freya and Luna watched from the window as Kieran showed up with an entire entourage.

Luna was shocked. “What’s Kieran up to, coming here over and over? Doesn’t the Sutton Group have better things to do? Why does he keep showing up here looking for trouble?”

“What can we do? He’s here to make a scene.” Freya hadn’t expected Kieran to act so quickly. She had barely arrived at school when Kieran followed suit.

“Let’s go! I’ll back you up.”

“Come back here!” Seeing Luna about to drag her away, Freya quickly said, “Dragging me in front of him now would just scream that we’re up to something. Don’t you think so?”

“So, what do we do?” asked Luna.

“Just follow my lead!” Freya pulled Luna in the opposite direction.

Along the way, the students in the hallway looked at Freya with curious eyes. After all, the entire corridor was swarming with the Sutton family’s bodyguards.

Just as Freya and Luna were heading downstairs, one of the Sutton family’s bodyguards stopped them. “Ms. Dawson.” Freya asked coldly, “What is it?”

The guard said, “Mr. Sutton wants to see you.”

“Let Mr. Sutton know I’m not interested in meeting him.” With that, Freya attempted to walk past, but the guard immediately called Kieran on the radio.

Hearing the news, Kieran strode toward them, determined.

Luna fumed. “What is Mr. Sutton? Is he some barnacle? Freya’s just trying to attend class, and he’s always on her tail! Have some dignity. Why don’t you!”
