Jarrett strolled in, unable to contain himself. “Ms. Dawson… she wrecked the lucky tree by the door on her way out?”

“Let her wreck it.”

“Excuse me?” Jarrett was shocked. ‘Let her wreck it?’

Kieran wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, stating, “Head over to the Dawson family, bring Freya back here, and tell them it’s on my orders. Without my permission, she’s not allowed to go anywhere.”

“Mr. Sutton, wouldn’t that be improper? Won’t it be a total humiliation for you if Ms. Dawson leaves again?”

When Freya left last time, Kieran was so furious that he threw away all of Freya’s belongings. Then, eagerly asking Freya to return, whether it was a matter of pride, should it spread, especially to Eloise, it would blow up into a serious issue.

“Just do as I say! Are you not listening to me anymore?”

“Of course not.” Jarrett quickly bowed his head.

Kieran added, “Freya is my fiancée. Is there a problem with wanting my fiancée to live with me?”

“No.”

“Then hurry up, don’t make me repeat myself!”

“Yes, Mr. Sutton.” Jarrett quickly exited the office.

Kieran rubbed his temples, only then feeling a sting at the corner of his mouth. Touching his lips, he realized Freya had bitten him. He fumed. ‘This woman, is she a dog or something? Always biting people?’

But then again, Kieran felt justified in his actions. He thought, ‘Kissing my fiancée, what’s wrong with that? All Freya did was to catch my attention. She loves me! That’s why she’s going out of her way to piss me off. Yes, that must be it. Perhaps, after being kissed by me, Freya was secretly delighted.’

Thinking thus, Kieran paced back and forth in his office.

After a while, Jarrett returned. Watching his boss pace, he couldn’t help but ask, “Mr. Sutton, I’ve notified the Dawson family, and, uh…”

“Should I apologize with roses or lilies?”

“What?” Jarrett was stunned for a moment.

With a serious look, Kieran said, “Even though everything I did to Freya is something a fiancé could do, it’s still wrong to go against a woman’s wishes. Order a bouquet for me and have it sent to Freya as an apology.”

“Mr. Sutton, I don’t think Ms. Dawson will accept…”

‘Besides, just a bouquet, isn’t that too perfunctory?’ That was what Jarrett thought, but he didn’t dare say it aloud. Kieran frowned, “I’ve never given flowers to a woman before. It is the first time. She should be happy about it.”

“But…” Jarrett thought, ‘But why do I feel Ms. Dawson receiving Mr. Sutton’s flowers will make her anything but happy?’
