Chapter 257
โSheโs happy and started to pack her bags?โ The question nearly choked Kieran with incredulity. Was this woman that eager to leave the Sutton Mansion?
โMr. Suttonโฆare you alright?โ Observing Kieranโs expression, Nancy couldnโt help but feel a bit intimidated. Kieran had been riding a rollercoaster of emotions, swinging from joy to irritation without warning.
โIโm fine!โ Kieranโs response was icy. โIf Freya loves packing, let her haul her bags downstairs! No need to lend her a hand anymore!โ
With that, Kieran stormed back to his room, leaving Nancy bewildered.
Was Kieran mad at himself or at Ms. Dawson?
In no time, Freya had stuffed the project contract into the deepest recesses of her suitcase. Standing it upright, she heard Nancyโs knock. โMs. Dawson.โ
โCome in.โ Freya had finished packing.
Noticing Nancyโs hesitation at the door, Freya said, โMy legโs been giving me trouble. Could you help me take this suitcase downstairs?โ
โUmโฆMr. Sutton ordered that you should carry your luggage downstairs. He insisted we not get involved.โ
โWhatโs gotten into him?โ Freya couldnโt help but blurt out.
Kieran was the one wanting her gone, and refusing help due to her injury was also his doing. Was he trying to mess with her?
At a loss for words, Nancy couldnโt even begin to guess what Kieran was thinking.
Seeing her neatly packed suitcase, Freya declared, โItโs fine. I wonโt trouble him. Iโll handle it myself.โ
Saying so, Freya was already on her phone, booking a moving service.
The driver was stunned when the moving service van stopped at the Sutton Mansion. Such wealthy folks were using a moving service?
Kieran was having breakfast downstairs when Freya called out to the movers. The driver even kindly helped her down the stairs. Catching sight of this, Kieran could only scoff. Hiring a moving service for her luggage? She had her ways.
Then, Kieran averted his gaze, pretending not to acknowledge Freyaโs existence.
โJarrett, give Ms. Dawson the address.โ
โYes, Mr. Sutton.โ Jarrett walked over to Freya and handed the driver the address.
Smiling politely, Freya said, โThank you, Mr. Sutton, for your hospitality these days. I wish you and Ms. Miller a joyous engagement. Goodbye.โ
Every word from Freya was sincere, but it somehow sounded off to Kieran. Wishing him a pleasant engagement? That didnโt seem like something Freya would say.
When Kieran processed it, Freya was already leaving.
