Escapi Chapter 407
Alison quickly had someone go upstairs and gather all of Leland and Johannaโs belongings, carelessly tossing them into a trash bin. When everything was accounted for, Freya had it all dumped right in front of Leland. Watching his clothes, shoes, and books being thrown out, Lelandโs expression turned from disbelief to utter disgust.
โKeep an eye on him. From now on, Leland and the Dawsons have nothing to do with each other. If Leland shows up at the Dawson doorstep causing trouble, call the police immediately.โ
โYes, Miss.โ
To prevent any further disturbances, Freya had even arranged for a security detail. Then Leland, snapping out of his shock, started frantically pounding on the Dawsonโs iron gate, yelling at Freya, โFreya! Iโm your brother! You canโt do this to me! Let me in, Freya! Iโm the rightful heir to the Dawson estate!โ
Freya couldnโt be bothered to waste her breath on Leland, simply turning her back and heading into the Dawson residence. Seeing the house free of Johanna and her sonโs presence, Freya finally allowed herself a moment of satisfaction, smiling contentedly.
โMiss, whatโs our next move?โ
โAll of Johannaโs assets have been transferred to the companyโs accounts, covering any gaps. I believe our projects with the Dawson partners can proceed without issues for now.โ
As long as Kieran doesnโt stir up trouble, Freya thought to herself. But after todayโs humiliation, she doubted Kieran would bother her again. That was for the best.
Meanwhile, at the Sutton residence. As soon as Kieran stepped through the door, Kara ran up to him, falling to her knees: โMr. Sutton! Please, I beg you, help my aunt!โ Tears streaked down Karaโs face, making a pitiful sight.
In the living room, Audrey maintained her composure, albeit with a hint of impatience. She had thought Kara to be a docile girl, but now, faced with a real crisis, the girl seemed utterly clueless. The Suttons had already broken off their engagement with the Dawsons, effectively severing all ties. Even if the Dawsons were in trouble, it was Freya who should be seeking their help, not Kara, who had no official status or connection.
Kieran frowned. He had never liked Johanna, much less wanted to get involved in Dawson affairs.
โJarrett, see Ms. Orson out.โ
โMr. Suttonโฆโ
Kara was stunned, unable to believe Kieran could be so cold-hearted, not even bothering to ask about the Dawsonโs situation. โMs. Orson, please follow me.โ
โNo! Mr. Sutton, I know youโre the kindest person in the world. Please, for old timesโ sake, help my aunt!โ
โI believe Iโve made myself clear, you shouldnโt be here.โ
Kieranโs gaze was icy, chilling Kara to the bone with just a glance. Eloise had already informed him days earlier about the school rumors involving him and Kara. Kieran was well aware of the games women played; he often chose not to intervene out of sheer indifference.
