The Amazing Son-in-Law: Chapters 391-395

Chapter 391

Elaine Ma had confessed her mistake and promised not to repeat it. Claire Wilson, feeling compassionate, decided not to pursue the matter further.

Alone, Claire told Charlie Wade, “Charlie, Mother’s always like this. Please don’t criticize her too much. As long as she acknowledges her mistake and wants to change, we should give her a second chance.”

Charlie, Claire’s husband and Elaine’s son-in-law, simply smiled. “I understand, Claire. Don’t worry about me. Handle it however you see fit. I won’t blame her.”

Claire embraced Charlie, saying, “Beloved, I’m grateful. Without you, Mother and I wouldn’t have escaped alive.”

Charlie chuckled. “Okay, let’s not dwell on it. No need to thank me!”

“Mm… We should postpone leaving, then. What do you think?” Claire asked.

Though Charlie wanted to leave with Claire, he respected her decision. He smiled. “I don’t mind staying or leaving. It doesn’t matter to me.”

Then, Charlie remembered something. “By the way, the villa renovation at Thompson First is almost finished. We can move in as a family afterward.”

Claire hesitated. “That villa belongs to Mr. White. Wouldn’t it be troublesome if we moved in and he decided to repossess it?”

Charlie smiled. “It won’t be a problem. Zeke has transferred ownership to me. I’m the legal owner. Besides, we’ll have a more peaceful life. The villa has multiple floors. We can live on the third, and our parents on the second. We'll see them less and have more privacy. What do you think?”

Claire considered this and agreed it made sense. She always wanted to escape family problems but felt she couldn’t leave her parents. Moving to the villa would simplify things considerably, giving everyone more space and peace.

Claire nodded. “If that’s true, then we should move in as soon as renovations are complete!”

A fire erupted at a waterfront villa. Firefighters extinguished it, finding no bodies. The fire was unremarkable, attracting little attention. The firefighters couldn't locate any remains because Justin and Jason had been reduced to ash by Charlie Wade's Rumble Order. Their ashes were indistinguishable from other debris, containing no recoverable DNA. The Grant father and son had vanished.

The Grant family panicked, unaware of their plan against Charlie Wade. They offered a $5 million reward for information about Justin and Jason, but no one could find them.

Chapter 392

Kenneth, whose manhood was ruined by Charlie Wade, awaited Justin's call. The previous night, he'd seen Justin and Jason attempting to set Anthony's Serene World Facility on fire. Kenneth planned to use them to get Anthony's medicine to restore his manhood, replacing it with a fake beforehand. But Justin hadn't called, making Kenneth anxious. The number was out of service.

The Wilson family—Woman Wilson, Christopher, Hannah, Wendy, and Harold—watched Kenneth's growing agitation.

"Damn it! That dog isn't reliable!" Kenneth raged, trying the number again.

He felt like collapsing. Without his manhood, he was nothing.

Wendy approached. “Dear, what’s wrong? Who are you calling?”

Kenneth snarled, “A bastard, but I don't know his name!”

The family exchanged glances.

Harold received a group text: The Grant family offered a $5 million reward for information about Justin and Jason, along with their pictures.

Harold exclaimed, “Wow. How did Jason and Justin disappear?”

Wendy asked, “Isn’t Jason the one Charlie Wade threw out a hospital window two days ago?”

Harold replied, “Yes. They vanished today…”

Kenneth connected the dots: The men with gas canisters last night. He asked, "Who's this Jason? Do you have a picture?"

Harold showed Kenneth the picture.

Kenneth yelled, “Damn it!” He realized Justin and Jason's disappearance might be connected to Charlie Wade.

Chapter 393

Kenneth feared Charlie Wade was responsible for the Grant father and son's disappearance and that he might be next. Without them, he couldn’t get Anthony's medicine.

Woman Wilson suggested, “Mr. Wilson, should we go to a hospital in Eastcliff? You might find a cure there.” The Wilson family's hopes rested on Kenneth.

Christopher added, “Even though Dr. Simmons is trustworthy, he's close to Charlie Wade. There are other brilliant doctors.”

Kenneth's face darkened. “Stop it! I know what Dr. Simmons can do! If he refuses, other hospitals are pointless.”

Wendy anxiously asked, “Is Dr. Simmons the only doctor in Aurouss Hill? Should we look for someone else?” She resented the lack of return on her investment in Kenneth.

Christopher suggested, "Didn't you say you have a friend who runs a pharmaceutical factory?"

Kenneth's expression changed. He had focused solely on Anthony’s medicine and forgotten this.

The Weaver family owned a major pharmaceutical company. Kenneth had a good relationship with the young master, Jeffrey Weaver, possibly his last hope.

Kenneth looked at Wendy with disgust. He’d spent $15 million on her, only enjoying a few nights before becoming impotent. She was his most expensive fling. He decided to give her to Jeffrey.

Kenneth smiled at Wendy. “Wendy, dress impeccably tomorrow. I’m taking you to see a friend…”

The next day, news of the Grants’ disappearance spread. Claire and Elaine weren't concerned; Charlie had explained the Grants’ escape to avoid punishment.

Kenneth contacted Jeffrey Weaver and brought Wendy to a private room, awaiting Jeffrey.

Chapter 394

Wendy wore a $100,000 black dress. Though not as stunning as Claire or Jasmine, she was attractive when made up. She was excited to meet Jeffrey.

They waited when Jeffrey Weaver, a middle-aged man in Armani, entered with his assistant, Liam.

Kenneth greeted Jeffrey. Jeffrey noticed Wendy. “Wow, Kenneth. Who is this beauty?”

Kenneth introduced Wendy as his niece.

Jeffrey’s eyes gleamed with greed. He reached for Wendy’s hand. Learning she was Kenneth’s niece, he smiled and nodded. His eyes still held greed.

Kenneth explained that Wendy was his niece and Jeffrey was the general manager of Weaver Pharmaceuticals.

Wendy greeted Jeffrey.

Jeffrey threw his jacket, which Liam fumbled. Jeffrey yelled at Liam, calling him a “waste” and “illegitimate child.” Liam, accustomed to this treatment, apologized. Jeffrey slapped Liam, who quietly left.

Kenneth asked if Liam was Jeffrey’s brother. Jeffrey coldly replied, “He’s an illegitimate child, not my brother!”

Jeffrey then asked Wendy if she had a boyfriend.

Chapter 395

Wendy looked at Kenneth uncomfortably; she couldn’t say she was his mistress.

Kenneth admitted Wendy was his mistress, asking Jeffrey to keep it secret.

Jeffrey regretted thinking she was Kenneth's niece. He couldn't steal Kenneth's woman.

Kenneth noticed Jeffrey’s greed and continued their conversation. He asked about Jeffrey's father's health.

Jeffrey sighed, saying his father’s health was failing due to his past excesses.

Kenneth asked about his father’s many affairs. Jeffrey admitted his father had over twenty lovers and used a secret medicine to enhance his performance. He called him "Weaver Fourteen Times."

He explained the medicine caused liver and kidney damage. His father, in his early sixties, only had two or three years to live.

Kenneth asked if he still had the recipe. Jeffrey said his father used it for 20-30 years and it was effective but toxic.
