The Amazing Son-in-Law: Chapters 711-715
Chapter 711
Mr. Jones, nearly incapacitated by pain and fear, looked desperately at Charlie Wade. He recalled the lives he'd taken and dreaded a similar fate. His strength didn't negate his fear of death; in fact, the more he killed, the more he valued his own life. He craved comfort and luxuryโthe reasons he'd served the Webb family, carrying out their brutal orders for immense wealth. He'd grown accustomed to his lavish lifestyle and couldn't accept death. Sobbing, he pleaded, "Master Wade, I didn't realize your power. I only served the Webb family, following their orders. Please spare my life!"
Charlie Wade coldly replied, "Working for the Webb family makes you even more hateful!" He then crushed Mr. Jones's right shoulder, rendering his arm useless. Mr. Jones wailed, but Charlie Wade continued, disgusted, "Others have real grudges against me. They come to kill meโI understand. But you killed for money. Are you not more hateful than my enemies?"
Mr. Jones, attempting to defend himself, only further angered Charlie Wade. His shattered shoulder left him essentially crippled. Charlie Wade then turned to the terrified Mr. Lloyd and his son, coldly asking, "You two dared to attack my father-in-law?"
The Lloyds were paralyzed with fear. They knew the five young bodyguards they'd dispatched were strong, but they were no match for Charlie Wade. Marcus, panicked, held a dagger to Jacob Wilson's throat, shouting, "Charlie Wade, stop! Or my father will kill your father-in-law!"
Jacob Wilson cried out for help. Suddenly, Mr. Lloyd slapped Marcus, yelling, "You fool! Kneel before Master Wade!" Mr. Lloyd then knelt, weeping, "Master Wade, I was manipulated by the Webb family and their son. They forced me to attack Don Albertt and threatened to kill you. Please forgive my momentary lapse of judgment!"
Chapter 712
Mr. Jones, now a cripple requiring arm amputation, faced a life worse than death. Marcus realized that pretending to be ruthless was futile. Even if he'd killed Jacob Wilson, Charlie Wade could have easily saved him and then killed Marcus. Seeing his father's submission, Marcus also knelt, crying, "Master Wade, I'm sorry! We were forced by Young Master Webb." He kowtowed repeatedly.
Charlie Wade sneered, "You both have a strong will to survive!" Mr. Lloyd quickly agreed, "Master Wade, we've learned our lesson." Charlie Wade warned, "Kneel and don't move, or I'll kill you!" They trembled, unable to move.
Charlie Wade checked Don Albertt's pulse. Although he still had a faint pulse, he'd suffered severe oxygen deprivation and brain damage. He might remain in a coma for years, perhaps never waking. Charlie Wade, seeing Don Albertt as a loyal and tough man, couldn't bear to watch him become a vegetable. Secretly, he gave Don Albertt a rejuvenating pill.
Chapter 713
Don Albertt, having witnessed the Rejuvenation Pill at Lord Moore's banquet, was astonished to wake. He'd felt deathโs grip, yet he was alive, inexplicably rejuvenated. Charlie Wade subtly confirmed his recovery with a look, saying, "This is your chance."
Overwhelmed with gratitude and loyalty, Don Albertt declared his life belonged to Charlie Wade. He noticed the Lloyd family's state and marvelled at Charlie Wade's power. He asked, "Master Wade, what will you do with them? Kill them?"
Charlie Wade smiled, "Let's hold a trial," referring to the ancient tradition of a magistrate presiding over a trial. Don Albertt quickly arranged a chair for Charlie Wade.
Chapter 714
Charlie Wade began the trial, accusing Mr. Lloyd and Marcus of attempting his murder. They begged for mercy, claiming they were forced. Charlie Wade spared their lives but warned, "Capital punishment avoided, but not life's consequences. Your survival depends on your actions."
They swore undying loyalty. Charlie Wade, however, said he didn't need them as servants. He then asked Don Albertt what Mr. Lloyd should be called, given his pathetic state. Don Albertt suggested "Father of the Pathetic Jerk." Mr. Lloyd agreed, then panicked as Charlie Wade explained this referred to a literal inscription on his forehead.
Mr. Lloyd pleaded for leniency, fearing the branding. Jacob Wilson chimed in, recounting Mr. Lloyd's earlier threat to carve โpoor father-in-lawโ onto his forehead. Charlie Wade gave Mr. Lloyd a choice: allow Don Albertt to carve the words "Father of the Pathetic Jerk" on his forehead, or have Don Albertt castrate his son.
Chapter 715
Terrified, Mr. Lloyd endured the painful inscription on his forehead. Marcus watched in horror. After the inscription, Charlie Wade ordered Marcus to record a Facebook video. The video's content would dictate their punishment.
If they cooperated and made the video, they could escape. If not, they would be severely punished. Mr. Lloyd, initially hesitant about the implications for his assets, ultimately agreed, hoping to escape to Malaysia with his son. They reluctantly filmed the video, their futures hanging in the balance.
