The Amazing Son-in-Law: Chapters 731-735

Chapter 731

Donald, a billionaire, was notoriously ungenerous. He considered any unnecessary expense unacceptable. This was evident in his treatment of Mr. Jones and five other injured bodyguards. One bodyguard, with a broken hand, couldn't even open his mother's car door. Their exorbitant salaries, Donald reasoned, were essentially charity, providing for their old age. He believed they should be dismissed immediately. He felt that offering $500,000 in severance pay was already incredibly generous, a sentiment Mr. Jones vehemently disagreed with.

Mr. Jones considered himself useless, a burden. He saw his injuries as a life sentence of dependency, requiring care for decades to come. Their injuries were inflicted by the Webb family, and now, with the Webb family facing trouble, Mr. Jones feared for his life. He resented Donald but dared not retaliate against him, fearing the Webb family's power and the swift retribution that would follow. He felt utterly betrayed, lamenting Donald's ruthlessness and lack of compassion.

Suddenly, the presidential suite door opened. Cameron Isaac, accompanied by dozens of bodyguards, entered. Donald, surprised and slightly apprehensive, greeted Isaac with a forced smile.

Isaac, his face cold with anger, accused Donald of his audacity, reminding him that Shangri-La was a Wade family property. Donald was bewildered, confused by this sudden shift in Isaac's demeanor from friendly conversation to furious confrontation. Despite his resentment, Donald knew not to offend Isaac and hastily professed his admiration for the Wade family, expressing a desire to align himself with them. Isaac, however, responded with a harsh slap and a kick, silencing Donald's fawning words.

Chapter 732

Donald screamed in pain as he fell. Sean, his son, angrily rebuked Isaac for striking his father. Isaac retaliated with a punch to Sean's nose, drawing blood. Sean, enraged by this assaultโ€”following an earlier incident with Charlie Wadeโ€”roared his defiance, proclaiming the Webb family's dominance in the Yangtze River Delta.

Donald immediately slapped Sean, furious at his son's reckless behavior. He explained the immense power and influence of the Wade family, emphasizing that even the Webb family paled in comparison. He stressed that offending the Wade family could have catastrophic consequences, even for the entire Webb family.

Sean, realizing his mistake, knelt and begged for mercy. Isaac, however, continued his assault, kicking and stepping on Sean's face, threatening to destroy the Webb family. Donald, distressed by his son's beating, attempted to intercede, but Isaac remained unyielding.

Isaac revealed that the source of his anger stemmed from Webb family bodyguards attacking his men in the Shangri-La lobby.

Chapter 733

Donald's fury was directed at Mr. Jones and the other bodyguards, demanding to know who had instigated the incident at Shangri-La. Mr. Jones explained their attempt to enter the hotel was met with resistance by security, leading to a confrontation. Donald, enraged, labeled them "trash" and ordered Cameron Isaac to kill them.

Isaac, however, rebuked Donald for his willingness to sacrifice his own men, highlighting the Webb family's unprofessionalism. Donald, shocked by this unexpected rebuke, apologized profusely, offering $10 million in compensation for the injured staff.

Isaac rejected this offer, stating that the Wade family didn't care about money and suggesting that he could beat Donald and his son and still pay Mr. Webb more money, and it would still be considered "settled".

Donald, astonished by Isaac's unrelenting stance, tried to diffuse the situation. He knew he could not afford to provoke the Wade family.

Chapter 734

Donald asked Isaac how he wished to resolve the conflict, promising the Webb family's full cooperation. Isaac coldly stated that he would not accept an apology and demanded that the legs of the five bodyguards be broken. Donald readily agreed.

Mr. Jones protested vehemently, but Donald remained implacable, emphasizing their self-inflicted predicament. Donald even suggested that they should be killed outright.

Isaac revealed that he was sparing their lives because of insulting words carved onto their foreheads. This was a veiled insult to the Webb family, but Donald dared not object.

He agreed to the leg-breaking, but then realized Isaac had only said "first." He suddenly understood there would be more to follow.

Chapter 735

Isaac's men efficiently broke the legs of Mr. Jones and the other four bodyguards, despite their desperate pleas. Donald remained impassive.

Donald asked if Isaac was satisfied. Isaac coldly replied, "No," and demanded the same punishment for Donald and his son. Donald pleaded for leniency, emphasizing the minor nature of the conflict, but Isaac remained unmoved.

Isaac stated that he was only a subordinate of the Wade family and insisted on breaking Donald and his son's legs; otherwise, no one could save them. Donald, shocked and enraged, challenged Isaac's authority, but ultimately he knew he was in an impossible situation, facing a seemingly unstoppable force backed by the immense power of the Wade family.
