The Amazing Son-in-Law: Chapters 726-730
Chapter 726
When the Shangri-La security captain saw them, he immediately led his team to intercept the group, saying coldly, “Don’t cause trouble at the Shangri-La entrance, or you’ll regret it!”
Mr. Jones, aware of Shangri-La owner Cameron Isaac’s powerful connections, quickly stopped his men and told his driver, “Consider this a warning. Be more careful in the future, or you could be killed!”
They then attempted to enter Shangri-La. Security guards immediately intervened, and the lobby manager hurried over, stating, “Gentlemen, your attire is inappropriate. Hotel regulations prohibit entry.”
Mr. Jones scoffed, “We’re from the Webb family of the southern region. You, a mere manager, dare to stop me?!”
The lobby manager firmly replied, “Sir, I don’t care about your family. The rules are the rules; you can’t enter.” He added coldly, “Your appearance has already frightened guests and damaged our reputation. Leave immediately, or face the consequences!”
Mr. Jones, furious, threatened, “I’m showing Mr. Cameron respect by not assaulting you. But continue to antagonize me, and I won't be polite.”
The manager stood his ground: “I’m sorry, the rules are non-negotiable.”
Mr. Jones gritted his teeth. While he and his four associates could easily overpower the security guards, they hesitated to offend Cameron Isaac.
Their commotion drew a crowd. Mr. Jones overheard whispers about the characters carved into their foreheads. Mortified, he said to the manager, “I’ll give you three seconds to get the f*ck out of here, or I won’t be responsible for what happens.”
The manager, also losing his patience, called for the security captain, “Captain Sullivan, these men are disrupting Shangri-La. Remove them!”
Enraged, Mr. Jones yelled, “You want a fight?” He kicked the manager, who vomited blood. Mr. Jones spat, “If you value your life, keep quiet!”
The injured manager ordered his security guards to intervene. Before they could react, the four Webb family bodyguards attacked, unleashing their pent-up anger from a previous encounter. Despite their severed hands, their powerful legs quickly subdued the security guards.
Seeing his men defeated, Mr. Jones ordered them to stop, sneering, “You blind dogs dare to challenge the Webb family?” He then took the elevator upstairs.
Chapter 727
After Mr. Jones’s departure, the lobby was in chaos. The manager and several security guards lay injured.
A security guard helped the manager up and asked, “Manager, what should we do?”
The manager replied coldly, “Get everyone to the hospital. I’ll contact Mr. Cameron. Nobody gets away with disrupting Shangri-La.” He then limped to Cameron Isaac’s office.
Meanwhile, Donald and Sean Webb waited impatiently in their presidential suite for Mr. Jones’s return. Donald had recently received word that Mr. Lloyd had subdued Don Albertt at Heaven Springs and unexpectedly discovered Charlie Wade’s father-in-law dining there. He planned to eliminate Wade’s father-in-law.
However, after an hour, he hadn’t heard from Mr. Lloyd or Mr. Jones. Mr. Jones’s phone was in his pocket, inaccessible due to his injuries, as were the phones of his companions.
Donald’s growing anxiety increased as he couldn't reach Mr. Jones. He wondered if Mr. Jones had been defeated by Don Albertt.
Sean worried, “Dad, we haven’t heard from Mr. Lloyd or Mr. Jones. Did something happen?”
Donald confidently replied, “Impossible. Mr. Jones and his men are experts. No one in Aurous Hill can defeat them!”
As he spoke, his phone rang – Mr. Jones’s phone, ringing in the corridor. The doorbell then rang. It was one of Mr. Jones’s men, using his forehead to press the button.
Sean exclaimed, “They’re back!” He opened the door to a shocking sight.
Donald, still confident, said, “See? Don Albertt couldn’t possibly defeat Mr. Jones.” To his son, he added, “Stay calm. Think before you act.”
Sean, horrified, pointed at the five badly injured men, “Dad, look!”
Donald dismissed it, “They’re back from Heaven Springs. Let them in and tell us about killing Don Albertt.”
Sean stepped back to let them in. Mr. Jones and his men entered, heads downcast and dejected. Donald was stunned, dropping his teacup in shock upon seeing them.
Chapter 728
Donald stammered, “What happened? Why are your foreheads covered in blood? What’s written there?!”
Mr. Jones knelt before Donald, “Mr. Webb, we failed. Please punish us.”
Donald’s face paled. “Tell me everything!”
Mr. Jones sobbed, “Mr. Webb, we dealt with Don Albertt as instructed, controlling him and capturing Wilson. But then Charlie Wade suddenly appeared…”
He continued, weeping, “Mr. Webb, Charlie Wade is incredibly strong! None of us were a match. He crippled our arms and carved words onto our foreheads…”
Donald was shocked. He exclaimed, “You’re not even a match for that trash?! He’s that strong?!”
He asked, “Carved? What words? Show me!”
Hesitantly, they raised their heads, revealing deeply humiliating words carved onto their foreheads. Donald and Sean read the inscriptions:
- Sean beep!
- Kian loves to eat shit!
- Sean is gay!
- Donald is incompetent!
- I want to poop to Sean to eat!
Donald, a man who had seen much death and violence, was appalled by this cruel humiliation. He asked, “Charlie Wade did this?”
Mr. Jones nodded, “He also sent a message: If you want to target him, come. But if you involve those close to him, he’ll destroy the Webb family.”
Sean raged, “Dad, he dares to threaten our family? We must kill him!”
Donald retorted, “Do you think it’s easy? These five are useless. We’re in Aurous Hill with no protection. If Charlie Wade comes after us, what will we do?”
Sean, pale, cried, “Dad, let’s run!”
Donald glared, “Don’t panic! We’re in Shangri-La! That waste wouldn't dare to kill here! If he does, the Eastcliff Wade family will pay!”
Chapter 729
The half-dead lobby manager, supported by employees, reached Cameron Isaac’s office. Seeing his injuries, Cameron Isaac exclaimed, “What happened?!”
The manager recounted the attack by the Webb family bodyguards.
Cameron Isaac was shocked. He knew of the Webb family's bodyguards' reputation and couldn't believe they’d been defeated and humiliated.
He called his contacts to investigate. Within minutes, he learned that the bodyguards had gone to Heaven Springs to attack Don Albertt, only to be defeated by Charlie Wade.
Cameron Isaac was terrified by Charlie Wade’s power. He was furious at the Webb family’s audacity in attacking Don Albertt, and even more so at their actions in Shangri-La. He almost wanted to break the Webb father and son’s legs but decided to contact Charlie Wade first.
He called Charlie Wade, who was just getting out of the car with his father.
Chapter 730
Charlie Wade answered Cameron Isaac’s call. Cameron Isaac reported the conflict and the subsequent events in Shangri-La.
Charlie Wade coldly stated, “Those dogs, I thought they’d learned their lesson. They still cause trouble.”
Cameron Isaac asked, “Master, what should we do with the Webb family father and son?”
Charlie Wade instructed, “Go to their room and break the legs of those five. Let’s see what they do next.”
Cameron Isaac eagerly agreed. Charlie Wade added, “Deal with Donald and Sean. Don’t kill them, but cripple one and force them out of Aurous Hill.”
Cameron Isaac confirmed. He then asked if he should reveal Charlie Wade's identity.
Charlie Wade refused, stating, “Knowing my identity would be too boring.” He stressed that Cameron Isaac's actions should be framed as a response to the Webb family bodyguards disrupting Shangri-La and insulting the Wade family.
Cameron Isaac readily agreed.
Back in the presidential suite, Donald was furious with the five injured bodyguards. He ordered Mr. Jones to undergo cosmetic surgery to remove the words from his forehead. He then dismissed Mr. Jones and his men, offering them 500,000 in severance pay. Mr. Jones pleaded for reconsideration, but Donald refused, disgusted by their failure.
